I sent Sundance a email about this idea. I want the community honest feedback.
This weekend has undoubtedly been stressful; I know Sundace and the event staff have been doing an amazing job trying to get everything straightened out, even calling outer sources to come help. While moderating the forums, I have noticed that they are the busiest since Ive been a member of the MLG community.
During the weekend, the moderating staff has noticed an increase in threads about receiving little to no updates about the matches being played. We and others have come up with the idea of MLG Event Tweeters. Special staff will keep up to date in each of the 3 MLG games, posting scores, stats, and other info throughout the day. I was thinking 1-2 people for each game would be plenty to constantly keep people up to date.
As you know over the latest few years the internet has been changing. Front page updates where fine, then the live blog, then facebook. Now we live in the age of Twitter (you are even a huge part of it). I was thinking of a similar system to what the Xbox Support team does.

As you can see they keep Microsoft Xbox 360 gamers with updates and responding to questions they may have. I and others believe a similar system with score and series updates would be very beneficial for fan and MLG. I feel this idea would really make the community happy since the online spectator only has one stream to watch for each game with some updates from blogs on those games.
I will be going to Columbus regardless if this idea does go through and I am willing to volunteer my Columbus weekend to beta test this idea for Halo Reach.
Opinions? Would you use it? etc.
