Braces....

Well fellas, its official. This 23 year old has to get braces. So make fun of me now before you see me in person. Insults may include; braceface, wirejaw, scrub, noob, 14 year-old schoolyard ******, or.... you can just wish me luck for the next 18 months. I should be getting them on in by early May.

Any thoughts, opinions, advice from anyone?

good luck, i had braces for a couple of years, it was a horrible experience, and the bottom row of my teeth are still screwed up. so hopefully that doesn't happen to you.

Braces suck, but you'll be thankful you had them later in life. I got mine off about 3 years ago when I was 14. Sooooo glad I don't have them anymore lol.

I'm going to be 20 years old tomorrow and in the process of getting braces. Right now I have a plate/wires on the top part of my mouth to to seperate my teeth. At first I didnt want them cause I felt I was too old and would look weird. But its no big deal. Some girls might find it hot that your confident being an adult with braces looking to better yourself.

Also if you plan on getting white colored braces to help mask it. Dont. It will just look like you have something stuck in your teeth. when they ask you what color you want just ask for clear. My sister was going to get colored ones but I told her I wanted clear ones so she decided to go clear as well and they look great.

4 grand and 2 years for my braces. my teeth were great for a while. now my smile is slightly crooked and teeth are a little off balance now. i can thank my wisdom teeth for fucking shit up in my mouth AFTER i had my braces on.

Good luck! I had braces for about a year and a half. Make sure you ALWAYS have the wax they give you for wires poking you in the cheek etc. It'll go by fast I promise! :)

Yeah Im not to worried I have a personality where I'll make fun of myself before anyone else can so nothing really bothers me. Plus, Im an analyst at a bank so my interaction face-to-face with customers/employees is limited.

I didnt mind braces. My teeth are great cause of them but if you dont wear a retainer and need one then they WILL move back.

I am approaching the last leg in my brace-face era. I'm 20 years old and thank God I'm almost done.
