Coaching with Small (http://thelannetwork.com/news/article/24)

Small touches upon the job as being a team coach as well as what it takes to be a top coach.

This is a good read. I've been thinking of coaching for Reach, so these are good tips.

I'd like to know how you predict coaching will change for Reach?

I'd like to know how you predict coaching will change for Reach?

Just saw this post, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I think coaching will just continue to evolve, not so much change. As time progresses, coaches are discovering more and more ways to help out their teams. Sure, Reach will change things up a bit but ultimately I think that Reach's time period will mark the true revelation of a coach's potential. That is, if all of the coaches take it seriously enough to make it happen. With the new "sponsor kid" coaches that are arising as of recently, this process will take longer than it should, but ultimately, I believe, coaching will continue to improve. It is frustrating knowing that some coaches are paying their way onto teams because that brutally hurts the reputation of coaching. Hopefully with the advancement of the league, there won't be such a big demand for "sponsor kids." Once this happens, every coach will be in the position that they deserve to be in because finances will no longer be a factor. Time will tell.

Note: I love coaching Reach. I think it is a great game.

I hope coaching becomes a bigger part of the game. To me it helps legitimize gaming as more of a sport than ever.
