ZeroCool your better off getting the 3DS :) it can play 3d games its brand new and its backwards meaning it can play any DS Game on it so you can buy it and buy older games. meaning you can get all the great DS titles and then the amazing 3DS titles that are coming out. i own a DS and PSP and a 3DS i have Tons of DS games and i love my 3DS and see it as my Fav handheld system and i was very unhappy with the PSP i really only bought it for Final Fantasy titles and really thats all thats good for it. i own like 7 Psp games and 4 of them are Final Fantasy games

I've always been a Nintendo guy. So I'm naturally going to say the DS. The DS has a FAR superior library to the PSP, but if you're getting a DS, you might as well get a 3DS if you can afford it. You get DS backward compatability, plus the ability to play 3DS games if you want to take the plunge. Keep in mind, the DS support from developers will begin to wane soon with the onset of the 3DS, so it would be beneficial to have the 3DS. Still, though, if you're just looking to play DS games only, it's got a MASSIVE library with tons of great games.
have u ever actually used a 3ds? it sux...

Nintendo Makes some of the best Handheld games of all time, and their wifi connection [DS/3DS] works super well. I myself during the hayday of Metroid, put hours of TDM on that game. the Psp has long load times, a broken online, and a small title list man, go for the 3DS trust me on this one.

The PSP and DS are both good handhelds...I had a PSP for a while, and my two younger siblings have DS's. I've since sold my PSP because I had intended to buy another Xbox 360, but if I could go back I'd have held onto my PSP. The graphics are excellent for a handheld and the internet capability is surprisingly good. I had a couple games for mine, but my favorites were God of War: Chains of Olympus and Metal Gear Solid(can't quite remember the full name).
The DS is also surprisingly good though, so it's not like the PSP has a huge edge over the DS. The DS is probably more fun to play overall because of the stylus, and its game library is probably a little more extensive than the PSP's. That's more of an opinion than fact to be honest, but there are more titles for DS I'd like to have versus PSP titles. My best advice is: The PSP is a more "serious" handheld if that makes sense, because its more traditional and the games are similar to those on consoles. However, the DS is more creative and depending on the game could stand to be more fun than the PSP. Either handheld will be a good buy...just depends what you want out of it.

i not only love it i think its the best Handheld system ever made and will change the face of gaming (not the 3d i turn that off most of the time) but the Graphics and the title list will really set it off plus it really is a mini console
and i believe your talking about MGS: Peace Walker or Portable Ops the other MGS games were Metal Gear Ac!d 1 & 2

It was MGS: Portable Ops. haha. I couldn't remember the title at all...wasn't a terrible game by any means. I liked the concept for the most part; just never got around to beating the game. Peace Walker looked good too but I ended up not buying it before I sold my PSP.

not a true statement first off you had to buy them in UMD format so untill people could place them on Pro Duo sticks (sd cards are better also the 3DS gives you a SD card) and even then the movie selection blew.

3G support for online/social interaction
GPS for geo tagging or any other function (depend on the Apps)

still tho it needs to have its screen at an angle not between my controls the Psp go had it right with the pushing up of the screen.
you have to hold the 3ds in the EXACT right place for it to work properly

It mainly depends on the type of games you like to play. Personally I prefer the DS mainly cause they have a much larger game library and get new games a lot more often than PSP.
