Hey guys I just wanted to see if any of you have had this problems.

So my wired controller isn't terribly old but it also isn't new at all. And it keeps crapping out on me and it says "Please connect controller" on the screen even though it's still connected! It happens at the WORST times too lol

And also the last week I haven't been able to hear ANYBODY talking on my astros. They're mics don't even show up on the screen. Only gameplay volume.

Has anybody else had these problems with an old wired controller?

My 2 Wired controllers probably both a year old, finally crapped out on me. They completely wont even turn on, I don't know if it's the connectors or the controllers itself. Really makes me mad too, one of them is the one I got for my birthday from TheControllerShop, one of those nice MLG style ones.

If you want to reuse cases you can use a regular screw driver to open it up so you can use the same case with a new controller. It is what I do when I get new controllers.

haha, that's actually a really smart idea, I didn't even think of that at all! Thanks, dude.

I also get multiple controllers but I was wandering if anyone else have had these kind of problems with a controller? like it malfunctioning and not letting your astros work properly?

That's what mine did. It's because the control stick is messed up at the abse of it....

My controller is getting old too. Ive recently encountered my trigger shooting by itself and also it has always had a slow turn to the right :(

The exact same problem, I was about to disarm a bomb and the sprint keeps messing up

I just bought one of the Afterglow Xbox 360 wired controllers...it feels so much different than a M$ wired controller, is this just me?? Should I take it back, and get a M$ one...they're the same price, just the NEX didn't have the official M$ Wired ones...

Mine did this as well, brand new, and i found out that if you use the astro mixamp, and you have your game/voice volume turned up really high, it will over-volt your controller and weird things will happen. Seems every controller is different. Random crouching, reloads, grenades, shots fired, etc. Try going into console settings and turning your game/voice volume down to 3-5.

Aside from that... I drove 8 hours to Raleigh last year, and stopped at Best Buy on the way home Monday morning to buy a wired controller. LOL.
