Okay, well there's this video contest where there's $10,000 in total prizes, and I have a chance to win up to $7,000. Soooooo, I am writing, directing, and editing my first REAL production. Here's a pic of a first draft of my first part of my script and planning:

It's actually more of a shot list/script. I realized I didn't really need an actual script for the project I'm working on, which is a PSA that doesn't include a lot of dialogue for the contest. I will be renting a Matte Box, hopefully a shoulder rig, and several high quality lenses. We will also be using a film clapper (what they clap before the scene starts, which makes it 123908x easier for the editor). And my main character might be one of the Natives who played one of the wolves from Twilight, so if we get him, that will make the project that much more legitimate. :)

So yeah, I shall be updating this thread as much as possible for you guys. :) OH and btw, the contest deadline is on May 15th.

[April 16th] - Just finished the first draft of the entire script/shot list. I am now sending it to some select people to critique it and help me out with it. My goal is to have the final draft completely finished by the 22nd.

[April 19th] - Here's a shot of the script draft, which ending up being 3 pages long and I showed some people helping me out, and changes have been made. Next up is renting and reserving the equipment I'll be using. After that is finalizing the cast, and checking out the location. So, should be good. :)

very nice. I'm something of a filmmaker myself, so it's cool to see someone else with an interest in it on here.

sounds awesome, what is the PSA about, and are you choosing to do a PSA or is that what the contest is for.

Thanks guys. :) The PSA is for an "Active Spirit, Active History" video contest where we focus on trying to inspire First Nations people to 'get off the couch' etc. etc.

Hey guys, here's the finished product. If you could 'like' the video on Youtube, I'll very much appreciate it. :) The video with the most 'likes' wins $2,000!
