Well there is a thread about the DMR but none about the Sniper? I find this to be an outrage! Oh I'm just playing. Although I do think the sniper is far to easy for the casual gamer to pick up and immediately be alright with it.

Did they increase the hit box size to be the same as Halo 2's? Back of the head shots seem to be super easy now too.

The only time I really start to dominate is when I have the sniper and it seems to be due to the ease of use. Anyways I want to also use this thread to exploit my sad overkill on a bad map the other night too since I just got Bungie Pro lol.

Those were nice, I do agree with the sniper being a bit easier to use. I think I've played against you in a game before, but overall the hit box seems to have been increased slightly. We'll have to see once more things are found out about the game.

Did they extend the time between multikills? some of those seemed like more than four seconds apart. Sick overkill though =]

@Transit, it did seem that way when I was watching that video back but I'm not sure.

Here is another example of how ridiculous the new hit box seems to be. Watch each shot that in the back of the head that would be so hard in H3 and also watch the last shot. I took a screenshot of the last kill and the bullet never touched the head, just the shoulder.

I know, the hit boxes in this game are massive. I love it though. It'll make the snipe a little OP in competitive games, but I'm not all that competitive so I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Thats the problem. They took a weapon, that in the right hands can change a game with just a few well placed shots/plays, but in the wrong hands only makes people one shot and leaves teamwork to clean up the kills. Right now it can be held by anyone and they can get easy headshots which to me...defeats its purpose. The skill gap with this weapon is practically gone IMO.

Can an update fix the Hit boxes? Because it would be stellar if they made them the same size as H3's, I'm sick and tired of getting shot in the head by people who have NEVER played Halo before Reach lol.

Agreed. I would much rather see halo 3 hitbox with the sniper and keep the bloom it already has.

Exactly. In Halo 3 50 Team Snipers... kids at least miss once.
I really wish someone would capture video evidence of a guy playing Team Snipers in Reach and then Halo 3.
(someone new of course) and see the difference in his/her success.

I really do hope they fix the hitboxes. I was playing a game with some of my friends from school last night, who are legit 15's in H3. I usually put up about +30 or +40 in a game to 50 against them, but yesterday they outsniped me like 15 times. The only good thing about it is it forced me to play a little smarter in later games.

Ive noticed the same thing, I was watching my bro play and he got a triple then like 4 secs later picked up another kill and it comes up overkill. I said to him ' WTF how the hell was the an overkill ? '

Its the opposite for me, I am no good with the sniper in Reach, but im better with it in Halo 3.

Yeah. The sniper was my weak spot in H3. I could get kills with it, but I never felt like I could take a game over. In Reach, I pick it up on Asylum and it's like 7 or 8 kills with 12 shots. MLG might have to reduce starting ammo for sniper.

I just had 2 SHARPESHOOTERS in one game....and it wasn't TEAM SNIPERS. That's how easy it is.

I agree. I think it would be actually really good for game play if they reduced the starting ammo in the sniper. It is much more powerful then it was back in H3.

oh I kno, it's ridiculous I've never been 180 no scoped so many times in my life in one day of Halo. Quick scoping, no scoping actually took a lot of skill in H3, but in Reach it's a joke but let's not forget that bungie was quoted as saying they wanted to make reach noob friendly. Well with the bloom, and ridiculous hit box I'd say they're batting 1000

agreed, the hit boxes are huge. It would be nice to see it minimized a little, just so there is more skill involoved, and not just blind fire.
