I got a team together, and we're just starting to get used to each other.
But it seems every time we go against semi pro/Pro teams we still get whupped pretty hard.
A couple games ago we lost a slayer game 17 - 50. I thought we were passed the point of losing that bad, but I guess not. Although we only had 3 of us there...
I don't know if we'll be ready in time for Anaheim.
Give me some of your thoughts TLN.

Hundreds of teams go thinking they can place top 16. .01% ever do. You should go to events trying to win and to try and have a good time. The reality is you won't come close to winning. It's not a bash on your team, it's just how it is. There is a reason these guys are on top of Halo.
Sorry if it's not what you wanted to hear, but if figured someone needed to respond to this thread.
Best of luck none the less. Like I said, go for the learning experience and the fun. Don't go expecting a top place finish.

It's one game. Don't stress over it.Keep playing and keep working. The time you put into the team will benefit you and your team in the long run.

The best way to keep a positive attitude playing this game is to treat playlist not as seriously as you would when scrimming teams. I know its almost the same thing but its a way to balance frustration, in playlist just tell your self its just one game and what happens happens. So many people rage over the smallest stuff and it affects alot of peoples attitudes in game. If you die you die its apart of the game, if the connection is bad its bad its apart of the game and in the end it doesnt mean anything. Treat scrims like tournaments, you an your team go hard and try the best you guys can. The good thing about customs is that you can control what goes on, if its a bad host end the game. Just my few cents

Gotta agree with Antidote and MKB here. But don't let that deter you. (not that I have any real MLG experience but I have accomplished things in my life that seemed a pointless pipe dream when I started).
Keep practicing, keep fighting the good fight. Remember anything worth doing is going to be difficult. :) Keep up with it and when you get down; think about the satisfaction you will feel when you finally breech into the top tiers!

Bro trust me, ive been playing competitively since 08 and still working to get to that top 16. Im way closer now than in 08 but my team now still gets steaked every now and again. I heard somewhere that "Getting shit on once in a while helps" No matter what theres always improvements to be made and like someone said just keep working and getting better. Good luck to you and your team.

Look at those matches and say, what did we do wrong, and what can we do to fix that issue? DONE

Just have fun, keep playing hard, and better results will come. Maybe message a pro about paying for some scrims. Might cost you some dough but the feedback and experience would be priceless.
