TLN Community Montage

This crossed my mind and I thought it would be fun to see what others think.

What would you guys think of a TLN Community Montage for Reach? Anyone want to volunteer to make it happen? Should we give it a bit more time before we try this?

I think it's a fantastic idea, since we seem to have a lot of talented players here, and I'm sure we have some video editors on the forum too. I'd love to contribute, but I don't think any of my clips would be all that great.

Well, Me and Crashdown were talking last night. He is currently at university doing Film Production, and editing a Montage would get him extra credits.

That sounds awesome, but i think what people want is a Montage that consists of plays from the forum community, rather than Pro montage.

If interest in this kind of thing is quite high, I'll look at investing in some decent capturing kit. There is a particular piece of kit that I've been eyeing up that would allow me to capture in glorious HD for a relatively small investment. I mean Bungie Pro is alright, but it's only practical for 1st person shots etc.

I'd love to edit a montage together for all you guys cos I've been trying to expand my horizons when it comes to editing stuff and a Reach montage fits the bill nicely. Let me know if you guys would be interested. :)

Just a heads up, The MLG playlist isn't going to be out on Friday. But the custom gametypes are going to be. We are going to have ti wait till early October for the playlist update.

I have a few clips as well =] you should wait untill after the halo reach 4v4 Doritos combine an FFA. Some good plays will happen during that i bet.

We should have a set of guidelines and rules on how you can submit your clip for recording, how many clips an individual can submit, and what kind of clips are acceptable.

He has already said he is willing to Edit, He can also capture in HD aswell. So its all good - I will chat with Cr4shdown after he finishes work to see how we will set this up.

Well, I was playing with Visual and doing bad that game, and i accidently stuck him, and he beat down an opponent, and my plasma killed him and the opponent, then I threw one down a hall, and stuck one, and they were all together for an Overkill Exterm (:

If anyone here doesn't have a cap device and still wants to send in clips, if you have bungie pro I believe you can now download your clips from the Bungie website..anyone test this?

when recording clips to add on your file share for the montage I recommend recording the clip 5 seconds before the action starts and continue recording 5 seconds after the last medal is earned. Why? because it would make it easier on the editer to do setups and transitions. Just a tip.

Yes please!! This will make my job a lot easier. :) Also, if anyone is a Bungie Pro member, don't bother rendering the videos out just for this as vontoxic will be capturing them anyways, plus we might want 3rd person or free camera angles which Bungie Pro cannot offer us.

But lets get the submissions going!
