I've been reading a lot of comments on the big players. I get the love will always be towards the big players, the players who can hit the triples, and overs. But I can almost argue the fact that every team needs a consistent player. These are the players that do everything, that don't cause teams losses, but don't cause the team win. they are the players that allow teams to control maps, and allow big plays from Main Slayers.

So which is more important the Big play players

or the super consistent players

Both. You need a good mix of play styles for a successful team. Or just have 4 people who can do everything!!! lol

I think with 4 consistent you get the types of teams that place about the same every tournament but rarely win, I think having one or 2 big play guys gives you a better chance at winning a tournament, but also more likely to have fluctuating placements. The reason I like big players is that they HAVE to be on fire for their team to win, and the team of consistent players can only win if that player isnt playing 100%, and as a spectator Its just more fun to see the team win because the guy got a tripe kill no scope rather than setup good and team shotted three guys.

Well are you talking about on Pro teams? If so, I feel know that any player on any pro team has the ability to "go off", or make these big plays you are talking about. I wouldn't say that Roy or Pistola are "Big Players", but not "Consistent" players. I think any pro player is both consistent and a "Big Player".

Chig 09 was easily one of the best slayers in the league, only problem he was/is super inconsistent.
You're right a a pro level every player is consistent, but not every player is a flash player. or can play big, just like main slayers can't always play big, and are usually inconsistent.

Main slayer-Consistently player well, inconsistently play exceptional
Consistent-Plays average all the time, and you know what to expect when watching them

I vote big play because you only need to do really well at one or two events to make nationals and/or if you make a big play at nationals, that would be much more important than just doing well throughout several events.

Personally I say consistency over big plays.

Big plays give you Montage clips.
Consistency gives you wins.

IMO

Consistency over big plays every time but it seems that you don't make big plays but that it depends on if you choke or not.

I choose not to vote due to the fact that this poll is pointless, no offense. Its just that consistency is required by all players on a team, but with the addition of the ability to make big plays. A great example of this right now is the current Instinct (Roy, Lunchbox, 2gre, Pistola). All of the player know what it takes to win the game and are consistent in their games. But also at any point each player could pull an extermination on main-stage when it is needed most, that is what a good team needs. So in the end you need both.
