Refer me to your good friends, yall can vouch for me ive played with most of yall, i really need a team. Been trying to get noticed since H2, and im about done. I literally destroy when i have to and i KNOW i have the potential for top 24. Im attending every event after CBUS, please help me out. If anyone is good friends with anyone even close to top 32 tell them about me, its not hard to run a couple games with a "random". I had in-mind maybe the sudd's or bert/cobie to get started, i know they are F/A's. I need anything at this point. #LFG

PS - People who i know can hook me up: Shelly, Impended, Canadian, Smallz, Toolbox. PLZ

None of the people you listed up there are FAs, they're both To2 and the last thing I heard Coby and Bert were going to team with Callmegod and Dew.
I've been reading a couple of your posts, and instead of attempting to go straight to top 24, why don't you try to play with people closer around your experience level?
If you haven't taken atleast top 32, you probably won't get on a top 32 team. Your individual skill could be greater or equal to that of a top 24 person, but your communication / teamwork could be lacking.
Go on the MLG fourms and run with some people out of the FA fourm. I've taken top 24 and numerous Halo 3 tourneys and wouldn't run with you due to your lack of experience.
Think about that for a bit.

Erm. Wow.
Well. I agree with ^^^^
I know you're shooting for top 24 right off the bat, that's what you're hoping for, but tbh more than likely it's not going to happen.
The pro's all started somewhere, probally from where you are right now. Try just getting a team first, practice, go to events and progress yourself. With a team ask to scrim pro teams, that will help you practice to get better than what you are telling us you are right now, and hey, you even then get gametime with pro's. Pro's deserved to be where they are today, now you work to deserve top 24.

I'm confused on why you would use them as example of getting started? If you ever got on a team with them that would be quite a feat in itself. You would be extremely lucky to team with a team of any caliber after not achieving anything yourself. I've played with you and I know you're a good player. However, with that said you should try shooting for landing on any team at this point, then work your way up to the top. You may be good enough to get top 24 at an MLG event. Except I'd wager my house that there are at least 500 other people in that world that are capable of doing that when they are on the right team.

Not everyone who is capable of getting top 24 does for several reasons.

Personally, if I were a top player I wouldn't dare pick up one of the thousands of people that say they are capable of getting top 24 with out ever doing well at a tournament, haven't actually gotten known, and really just have no credentials.

Even if your the best player in the world you can't just skip to the winning part.

Get good, get a team, get known, get some sort of feat under your belt that makes you stand apart from every other person stating they are capable of getting a win, and then you get on a team and get a better placing.

I'm not saying your not capable, I'm saying your going about it all wrong.

Also there is no excuse for not having done anything that makes you stand out from the others. INB4 "Money, time, teammates etc...etc"

Nice drive to want to make it Pro, but you aren't going to get it handed to you on a silver platter, unless you happen to get VERY lucky. I was even talking with someone yesterday who is friends with a couple of Pros, and they said some Pros won't join up in parties if they don't know everyone who is in that said party. May be a bad analogy, but it's just like saying you could make it in the NHL, or NBA or NFL is you HAD THE CHANCE of being signed randomly by a top team. They aren't going to go pick you up because they are friends with someone you know. You need to earn your way in man. If you are as good as you say you are you should really have no trouble. If you have been trying since H2 maybe there is something people don't like. Communication? Attitude? Teamwork? Who knows. Keep trying to keep trying different teams. Keep an eye on the top GB teams. Get a team together and start scrimming top AM teams first. That could lead to better things. Didn't try to tear you down here, just being real. Good luck though man!!!! Hope to see you at Anaheim!!!

Hit up the sudds to run games.... or you could see what coby and bert are gonna do.... o_O

You need to prove yourself in order to get picked up. Everyone and their mother thinks they can get top 24 if they got on a good team, but they have nothing to prove it.

lets face it no one is going to give someone with 0 experience any shot unless they know you well. you have to accept the fact you have to work from the bottom up and work your ass off and not expect other people to help you out every step along the way. some things you just have to go out and do on your own.

Go find a team or make your own, you have to start somewhere. You're a free agent now and that means you haven't been playing on a team gaining that valuable experience meaning no one good is going to pick you up because you say you're good. Bust your ass go to an event who cares where you place but if you play hard impress some people they will notice and then you can play with better people. You have to work your way up the ladder.

I'm sorry but asking Shelly and others to hook you up isn't going to work out that way. I know that sounds the easiest way to get where you want, but lets face it not everyone gets to take the high road, most people work their ass off to get where they want to be in life.

edit: Also response to your other thread it isn't anyones obligation AT ALL to invite you into a party if they are playing with a pro/friend. Besides they way you have made yourself look in these 2 threads you need an ego check because I wouldn't want to invite you in at least I know I wouldn't. People that complain about them not letting you in (btw I know who you're talking about) won't let you in because you have expressed yourself as someone who only wants to take the easy way.
