GREAT Article, I've said from Day 1 that coaches should not only be wanted, but needed by not only top teams but new teams as well. It gives you a 5th pair of eyes and a Birds Eye perspective of how to play, coach is always inspirational which is also a HUGE thing, coaches are JUST as important as the players if not more important to the success of the team.

I didn't know it was possible to have 41 post already...
OT: Great article. Whenever I watch Instinct play at LANs without Towey behind them, they're always saying things like "we need Towey. We have no clue when power weapons are up, etc etc". Coaches are great to keep focus on important aspects of the game that the players can tend to forget about because of the adrenaline of being in the game.

It was a good read. Good job again Bravo. But yea Heinz tweeted that Snip3down honestly didn't know where the hill moved on construct at 9:00... just one more reason why a coach is needed lol

With a coach you dont need to know, as your should be getting told everything that happens. I know not the best way to play, but its do-able

A good coach really can be the difference between winning and losing. This was really a great read from one of the League's most respected coaches.

Very good read. Well written as always.
I've seen XxX accredited with being the coach who revolutionized the coaching position in Halo 2. It seems that through Bravo's success with TD he's kind of become that reincarnation in Halo 3. It's evident that last year's TD and Str8 were on another level than the rest of the competition. The rest of the league's elite have seemingly caught up but what has changed? Team changing has been consistent throughout Halo so what has propelled these already elite gamers so close to perfection? It's gotta be that 5th man.
Bravo reiterates a couple of times how teams are only now bringing coaches to lans. One can only imagine what Halo 2 and 1 would have been like if this were the case.(FB would probably still have owned lol) As someone previously mentioned, if a team consisting of Lunchbox and Elamite, arguably two of the best strategists, rely heavily on a coach to perfect their execution then it's obvious that every team needs one.
