So for almost my entire life I've wanted to get into the film industry. Some of you may know that I write/direct/produce and act in stuff independently. However, when I go to college I'm not sure if I want go for filmmaking I mean a lot of great filmmakers didn't go to college or didn't major in film. Although, if I major in a practical subject (History or Political Science), I may miss out internship opprotunites. What do you guys think? I mean just because I major in something else it doesn't mean I can't pursue a caereer in the film industry.

I'm currently majoring in Music Ed for example. Yet with the degree I can do something more with it down the road other then just teach. Examples: Like audio for games, movies, and shows.
Try majoring in something with practicality that you like but also try to keep it relevant.
Idk if that helps or not. One thing I do know is that you NEED to major in something you enjoy. Otherwise college becomes an absolute nightmare.

Finding a major is quite difficult for myself, personally for me my major might be: Marketing and minor in: Digital Media.

Definitely go to College. You'll love studying film and college is fun as hell. I took some film classes on the side during college for fun just bc I have a passion for it and they were really cool. Good luck!
