Hey guys,

I'm not sure if anyone knows or cares about the state of the Australian competitive scene, but in a nutshell, I've been working hard over the last few years to make things happen here.

We've grown from a Halo 3 organisation in 2009, to a full blown national circuit (albeit without major sponsorship) for Halo:Reach, Black Ops, Fifa 11 and other games this year.

Thought I'd finally make an account on here to say hello!

I agree with D Moralize, its great to see just how far the whole competitive gaming scene has traveled. Really gives promise to this sort of thing being recognized as a sport not just a hobby.

Yeah, we stream - although of course it's fairly basic compared to MLG. We still have player switching etc, but without sponsor funding we're a fair way off big league standards.

The last year I've spent fixing the organisation internally (structure, competitions, staff). Now that we seem to have that down pat the focus for 2011 is promotion and building a bigger league and attracting sponsors and support.

Ogre 1 has competed in two ONLINE competitions, but not LAN.

How many competitors/spectators do you average at events?

About 150-200 now, which is good. Makes venue hunting on a budget difficult :P
