Hey guys, im back (; Im thinking about getting a live stream put together here soon. Right now the only way i can stream is using an Xbox Live Vison camera that really doesnt have very good quality, 360p at best, and i use a over-sensitive mic that picks up the slightest sound that goes on in my room, even a frustrated exhale during a game. With that said, clearly this is not the kind of thing i want to be using to stream, its frustrating on myself and any viewers that are trying to watch me play.
Basically what im looking for is a cheap, efficient way of streaming that will get me by, but wont hurt my already depleted pocket. Im looking to spend a max of $100 on materials for the stream. If you guys can leave me some equipment suggestions that would be incredible!
Thanks, i know you guys will come through on this one.

there are few people who stream on here. I know Canadian Gym and Fofefront do so I would definately ask them.

The most inexpensive way to stream is to get the following (this is assuming you use VGA to your gaming monitor):
Dazzle100 cap card - $40 - $60 used
A PC to TV Card - http://sewelldirect.com/pc-to-tv.asp - $30
This will allow you have an active split of your vga signal. do NOT buy a Y splitter for VGA, it does not work. the splitter must be a powered splitter so that there is no lag in the connection. and i have never even had a Y splitter work at all.
Stream only with S-video. Composite Video (the yellow cable) will work but S-Video is much better quality.
This is the hardware you need to make your stream work.
Audio is really where it starts getting complicated and research is involved. the easiest and fastest way is to just plug in your red and white audio cables from the VGA cable to your computer using a 3.5mm converter/adapter. they usually come with the VGA cable.
Then as far as actually streaming goes most ppl use Flash Media Live Encoder, this program allows you to connect your hardware straight to Justin.tv or Ustream and also gives you advanced settings and streaming options.
Keep in mind there are many ways to get your audio working better, but this the fastest cheapest way to do it. at least to my knowledge. But you will need to do your own research and watch alot of youtube vids on it. there are lots of ways of streaming.
most importantly is your connection, you should have at least 1 up on your connection to be half way decent. i have 1 up and my stream doesn't really look that great, i would like to stream in higher quality but i have to wait until my area has faster internet available.
hope this helped
