This is my first map that I forged. Please let me know your thoughts on it. Its a MLG Team Slayer only map but it does support Assault and Oddball. The idea of the map came from the Halo 2 map Foundation how there is the sides and the little house in the middle. I kinda did the same except its smaller and no house in the mid but a platform instead for top mid and the map is made as a rectangle not a circle (like foundation.) :O and add me if you wanna play matchmaking with me :D

Not to be randomly critical but foundation was actually an octagon that effectively played as a square (and top mid existed with the super jump :)). And I have to agree with secure but definitely keep forging because the more people who forge and get better, the more potential for awesome new mlg maps we have, maybe the next amplified will be one of your creations.

Edit: OH NO! ...I forgot a parenthese and feel bad about my various grammatical insecurities.

Try to expand on the design you have. Add cover and make sure you incorporate it so it isn't just random. Also, people generally hate FX.

Basic isn't s a bad thing, as long as the spawns, and game types work basic maps are some of the most fun. [Lock,Guardian, Onslaught]

I think those are bad examples, better ones would be Amplified and Onslaught. Those two maps are very simple. For an easy start to making good maps, if you want to make them symmetric is to follow this description of top played competitive maps.

2 base symmetrical map contains, two opposing base, that are mirror imaged of each other. With in the map it contains2 towers that lie in between each opposing base on the sides of the map, connected by bridges or ramps, usually to form a height variance in the map. There are more things that go into making a good map but that is player designed, and play tested.

Looks pretty basic like people pointed out but like other people pointed out.. basic isn't always a bad thing. just keep forging you will get better and better as you go on and im sure you will come up with a super sick map later on man!

Simple design means in my words : To allow a user to navigate and identify there surroundings easily, but still have some form of structure.

It looks like you went farther then simple.
