So far it's the new MLG Asus Monitor vs the old Viewsonic Then their is also the 22inch Vizio (these are just the options that I have in mind atm). I'm use to playing on my 20inch Samsung which was the TV for MLG 2007 and has absolutely no lag so yeah it's time for a new tv/monitor.

Aslo the capture card question is the Black magic really worth the money over the HD PVR?

Any input is appreciated. Money is not the issue. So yeah throw any suggestions at me. Thanks.

Black Magic and HD PVR are the same price. From what I've heard from various people on JTV, BMI is better for streaming and HD PVR is better for recording.

Good input thanks. Just wondering if my Hard drive is big enough for BMI I only have 150GB free out of 221GB right now. So if I cleaned out my music would I still even be close to having enough room?

You can't use a BMI in a laptop... it's an internal PCI-E card, wheras the HDPVR is usb. Black Magic has a USB device, but it is only compatible with USB3.0, and i'm guessing if your laptop is more than a few months old, chances are pretty damn slim that you have USB3.0 on it.

Either way, space shouldn't really be an issue for streaming, but recording in HD can eat up hard drive space very fast. I would highly recommend an external hard drive of some sort for storing recordings.

Dont bother streaming with BMI if you have a upload lower than 3-4mbps. Your quality will look like crap, also laptops arent good for streaming because of the processor speed, you need one with a dual or quad to be really good

I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to need to build a PC to start streaming... But back to the Monitor any suggestions?

If you use the HD PVR, you can stream with a laptop. Ninja streams with a laptop and it does great. Great quality and an HD webcam.
