due to slowness and quality of the website that i have experienced over the past 2 months, i was wondering if we could get the old TLN webstie back. the one that i dont mind paying monthly for because the site ran great and quality of the stream was way better. id rather pay 5.99 with no ads then free with ads all the time. idk whats going on with the quality of the website but it takes forever to load it. i had no problems till right after dallas started.

This is their first pro LAN with the new setup so they are getting a lot of new viewers. Bear with them and it will improve.

yea, it's kind of annoying that i have to watch the streams on JTV because the page won't load, and the webcams aren't working. hopefully it'll be fixed for next weekend.

Yea, I feel the exact same way right now. Hopefully they can get it working better soon.

I would be surprised if this site gets fixed. Originally the site was an intuitive idea that required a lot of love and hard work that made it what it was. The way it is now, the site is completely worthless. It is Justin TV but way worse (if that's possible). This site was like having HBO. Upgrades all around for those willing to pay. Now TLN has prostituted itself and in so doing has stuck it right in our ass. Awesome. I hope they make a turnaround but again, I would be surprised.

The kinks are still being worked out, there should be HD stream for the next LAN and obviously the site should be getting sped up, sorry if you guys miss the old but you have to remember it was a sinking ship, at least now we have more peace of mind that TLN can maybe actually support itself and continue to grow. As for the site being slow thats definitely only the past 2 days, I had looked it up on alexa.com like a week ago and TLN on average loaded faster than 90% of sites.

I'm sure it will be fixed next weekend. It's very hard to try to migrate the site to new servers etc. with all the people on it during the LAN. I'm almost certain that by next LAN they will be prepared with the new servers and be able to withstand the traffic. But fixing the slowness of the site, I don't believe, is something they can really fix mid LAN unless they did it late at night, but for them, late at night is like the morning haha.

I don't recommend this, If you don't view the ad TLN dosent get the money, and they need to make money to keep the site up.

Weird, I just noticed the site felt like it took forever to switch pages...anyways the ads only happen after matches and when you first join a stream. It's really no big deal. Being a poor kid, I like that I can watch the stream for free.

Mr. P said that were in the process of switching servers, so it shouldnt be a long term problem

The only thing I don't like/needs fixing imo is the fact that none of the archived videos on JTV are labeled with the PoV of who is playing. So finding a player or team you want to watch can be really time consuming. Maybe they'll fix it after the LAN.

Nice attitude man, and I do not think August, 2010 to May, 2011 is year.
This post is an example of why I hate these forums and the TLN community.

because of jtv, IF has gotten messed up. People can cheat and sometimes IF acts on its own. Just throwing it out there

Im just going to say this attitude will get you a lot of hate in the TLN community, the majority of us are warm and welcoming to new people.
I dont care if you have been here since the day it was created it doesnt make any difference to an opinion of a person. What was your comment meant to mean exactly?
Furthermore if you doubt his comment then you clearly haven't paid enough attention to this site as you claim, Mr.P is the most hard working, honest and generally nice person around, if i have learned anything from being on this site its that Mr.P will indeed successfully achieve his goals for this site.

yes i just joined the site myself but i have had friends go to pvj and talk very highly about mr.p. This is why I have all the confidence in the world that he will make the streams better and another thing dont have a bad attitude to people that just joined the site we want this community to grow.

They'll get it worked out man, its the first tourney on justin.tv. This is a positive for the TLN community. Make note of the problems, but constructively criticize instead of bitching and being immature about it. Mr. P is doing good work!

They're not going to go back because they're making more money this way with Justin.tv and its ads. Simple as that. They didn't just decide to make the streams free out of the goodness of their hearts lol.
I dont understand the point of paying for the membership now that streams are free....

The streams are free, the other stuff wont be, once its all said and done premium members will be the only ones playing the draft and interactive fantasy, and the fantasy's will have better prizes. The contests will be members only and there will be more like ones for gametime and prizes, and members will have access to all VOD

Even if everything was free, I'd still pay out of appreciation and support. They do need to get the cams working tho, I like seeing the LAN with all the players in it alongside the gameplay.
