So while practicing for Columbus, my team played GameBattles and for some reason I got super nervous and was spamming hard. Anyone have any tips to keep calm and collective while playing Reach? I don't want to go to Columbus, be playing really good in scrims and lose in the tournament because I got nervous :(

Before you play just breathe slow and try not to freak and dont think about getting nervous because thatll make it worst. Also when you know youre getting nervous in game and start to spam just think that youre better than this and just ease up your finger. Hope i helped :D

relax, drink lots of water to calm you down, breathe slowly, have a beat to your shots, keep count of your shots, stay focused and stay away from all distractions, and if they ever get in your head, try to stay away and start playing YOUR game. Try to get in their head also. Talk minor trash to them at events to keep you pumped! And lastly, dont be nervous, be excited, you'll find your adrenaline rush ones you know its event time :) Hope this helps man

Take advantage of the time given to you to warm-up before starting your first series. That'll help you relax and get comfortable playing on split-screen! :)

The more times u put urself in that position the calmer you will get, lot of GB and scrims against good teams will help you relax at an event. also if u can find a local event to get the butterflies out. And as shelly said make sure your team gets good warmup time.

All that I do is I think that my team will win, just make sure you don't make stupid mistakes and get good positions. Thinking about winning calms me down.

Ive been to 2 tournaments so far, nervous at both and I did used to get nervous playing GB. Now GB is just for practice and I focus that on just helping me before tournaments. However for a tournament, just like others have already said breathe and take advantage of split screen time. Also the local tournament thing is a huge help. It was after the Chicago combine last year but since it was a local tourny I took advantage of being able to talk trash and personally that helped me get all the nerves out. It was a 1v1 tourny, but as soon as I was playing MY game, the trash talking and tbagging came out and I couldnt be stopped lol. Good luck to you and your team though, see ya at CBUS.

I used to have that problem. But after I played a bunch, I just got used to it and i am calm and good. Hoping my team wins the doubles GB ladder :)http://gamebattles.com/xbox360/halo-reach/team/beast-coast/

Just make sure you take slow breaths, dont have to be deep. Dont think about anything before or after the game, just about whats happening now in the game. As long as your focused, your nerves should take a back seat to your momentum.

Just remember even though its a tourney have fun and relax. I've been to 3 events and have never made it out of rd 1 losers but I brush it off and then walk around the event.
