Texas LAN Centers(preferably around Central Texas)

OK first off I know there is a topic about LAN Centers in Central TX already, but it is a few months old. Anyways I was wondering if anyone knew of a LAN Center in Central Texas besides Tek Republic in Austin, seeing as that is about an hour and a half out of my way. the only other LAN Center I know of is LAN Sharks In Waco, which is again out of my way. So my question is this does anyone know anything that could be helpful to me in my current situation?

My and other Texas locals are trying to start a central texas lan circle. Send me a friend request and I'll let you know about any. We have the numbers but we need a location. I'm going to get an apartment sometime this summer so I'll be able to hold LANs in Austin whenever. But it may be a little out your way still. hmu.

There is a LAN house in San Antonio, TX it is awesome not many people know about but it but its soon to be up and running send me a message at GT: MakLn it has 6 beds, 10 monitors, big screen TV, and all the things needed for a LAN.......and its in Central TX :D

This is true. We will be up and running by June 1st. Also, an added bonus: an MLG Pro will be living here come June 16th (will keep you guessing). Our intention is to have 3 team lan tournaments over the weekends (not every weekend) around our work and MLG circuit schedules... As Makin said, we have 3 bunk beds and plenty of floor space for sleeping bags for teams who have to travel and stay, home cooking and lake 2 miles away to go swim. Being this is at our home only dedicated respectable players (teams) are welcome. Makin is a friend of the family, you can contact him and he can give you my contact info or HMU at GT: Khaotik SNIPE and I will run it by my dad. I will be in Columbus June 2-6 so nothings going to happen until after Columbus in way of tournaments.. Then we are hitting the lake hard wakeboarding on June 16th for a few days....but it's coming! If things work out we (my dad) have big plans for another place in San Antonio in the future similar to PvJ. We are on Medina Lake about 30 miles north of San Antonio in the hills......LFG. Will be Str8 up MLG setup for Halo

Thanks Dust. As for the House in S.A. I live in the Temple/Belton area(Literally the Heart of Texas) which is roughly 30 minutes from FT. Hood. This means that I am currently 3 hours away from Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. I can make the trip to Austin, but it is killer on gas and I'm driving my moms Ford Expedition until I can get my truck running....or a new car altogether.

Alright Texas, 4v4 setup is up and running next week. We are thinking of doing something like the following:

Friday and Saturday 8 TO2 at $50 per team entry. 1st place takes $200, Second place takes $100. Remainder goes to house for food and drinks for everyone.

Sunday FFA. $25 per entry, (10 minimum) Winner takes home unopened 2011 Astros complete setup (mixamp, headset, etc).

What are your thoughts everyone?

Need opinions on brackets, etc. Should we go Open bracket best 2 of 3 with MLG settings or Pool brackets best of 5?

Proposed Dates to Hold Competition......

We have a few beds, but people will be on couches and sleeping bags on floor, but hey its LAN and prizes!

There are reasonable hotels nearby for those that have extra cash and don't like the arraigments here
