Lantastic Gaming is looking to expand and we need your help! Lantastic gaming is dividing up the USA into 4 conferences (Pacific, Atlantic, Dixie, and Great Lakes) and is planning to offer 12 tournaments per conference starting in 2012.

Players competing will earn seeding points depending on how well they do at the events within their conf. At the end of the season, we will inv the top 10 players from each conference to an end of year national to crown a national champion and award big prize money.

Games we support are: COD: Black Ops, Halo Reach, Madden NFL, and GOW3 (September 2011)

There are NO entry fees at our events....EVER! The only thing we require of our members to play at any/all events is to purchase a $65 yr membership.

LTG is already successful on the west coast, and we support the following states:
California
Washington
Oregon
Nevada
Virginia
New Jersey

We are looking for your help in locating lan centers in the folowing states:
Texas
Missouri
Minn
ILL
Florida
Ohio
Michigan

My contact information is listed below. I look forward to talking to you guys, and I appreciate any help you are willing to give on this matter.

I am in the middle of upgrading the LTG site. You can see the current one at

k.. well I would definitely suggest to get rid of that yearly membership thing and just have it pay per event.. no offence to your company, but who knows if it'll even be around in a year? Once the league is established I could see the yearly membership thing working though..

oh and come to Seattle :).

VWS xNBLSliderx

we wont be eliminating the yearly membership.....that would be stupid.
We're already successful on the west coast, and our business plan is superior in many respects to whats out there. I understand where you're coming from, but its honestly not an issue. Once people see what we offer, and/or attend one of our events....they become lifetime members.

LTG is already established......we'll be around for years to come

As for Seattle, We're planning an event on July 23, 2011 at a mall in Vancouver WA. Games supported at this event are Halo Reach and COD: Black Ops.

2v2 = $1000
FFA = $500

We're also holding a $5 raffle. Prizes being given away are:
2 pairs of Gunnars
A pair of Tritton AX720s
A 26" flat screen TV

Okay sounds cool. I'll probably head down.. will it be properly announced on your site or anything?

Are you able to just pay for a single event instead of a yearly pass? I really don't want to pay $65 to play in one thing (I can't drive down to the states multiple times a year).

Theres 8 tournaments on the schedule for your area......so you wouldnt be paying a membership for just one tournament. Just an FYI ;)

I live in Canada and driving down to the states would be a hassle.. Me (and the 3-4 people who would go to a couple of these) would not be willing to pay $65.

Thats on you...
however YOU are the first to claim they would pay a traditional entry fee (which usually runs $125-$250 depending on the event) rather than a $65 membership that allows you to compete at all the events.

Not to be a dick or anything, but it sounds to me like you and your "3-4 friends" dont have a basic grasp on mathmatics.

Secondly...
you just got done saying "come to seattle" yet its a "hassle" for you to travel to the states? I dunno....I sense a little negativity from you but it may just be me.

The purpose of this thread was to spread the word, and to get information on lan centers in the states listed in the initial post. Id appreciate any help in this area so I can bring the success of LTG to your area :)

A good place in Missouri to look would be in Clayton, it's on the west end of St. Louis County, real nice area. The Dallas/Ft. Worth area is always good to look for a place in Texas.

Well I can't really say come to Vancouver Canada, turn out would be shit. Seattle is the closest US city to me.

And I've never heard of a LAN event that costs $125-$250 other than MLG..

And to be completely honest I've never heard of your company at all, yet you claim to have tons of success on the west coast. Your site also looks like a retard made it (no offence of course).

Really...? I'm 17 and don't have a job, yet I know the first rule of business is to be polite and courteous to all prospective customers regardless of what they say. You're being the opposite.

P.S. Advertising on a free gaming forum makes you look extremely desperate.

1) Theres 2 lan companies on the west coast that charge that kind of entry fee, and I used to do the marketing for both of them before I started my own thing. The average entry fee for those companies is $125, and thats for 2v2, and its MINIMUM $100 for FFA. The 4v4s start at $200

So yeah, its VERY common

2) Vancouver = Vancouver Washington, sorry for the mixup

3) If you lived in California, Washington, and Oregon.....no doubt you would have not only heard of us, but you'd have most likely attended our events on a regular basis. We've already held over 25 events in the last 14 months

4) Until recently, we havent had the need for a website because we ran local events, and the gamestops I work with advertise the hell out of us. Now that we are looking to expand, a website was needed so I uploaded a stock template and information until the new one is created and scripts uploaded.

The site is for informational and it serves its purpose for now. Since I do run an established MLG pro team, if you wanna see an example of the work my GDs do.....simply visit the VWS website here: http://www.slidersfury.com

Again, your negativity is starting to become apparent. Perhaps you should leave the thread if you have nothing to contribute except classless, 6th grade insults?

Sounds fair.. but to be completely honest once again.. why not charge those same prices if your events are so great? You would be losing money if you charged everyone $65 per year when I guarantee people would pay $50 to go to each event.. makes absolutely no sense to me from a business standpoint.

But whatever floats your boat, wont be attending your little events.

Either way, I contemplated attending your event when I first read your post, but as you kept opening your damn huge mouth, you managed to lose two prospective members in this thread. Well our vision is simple....
we dont care about being appealing pro gamers. If pro gamers show up (and they do), GREAT! However, we care about the LOCAL gamers, the weekend warriors, the kids that DONT have the time or money to travel to overpriced MLG events. THOSE players are our bread and butter.

By offering players the chance to compete at 8-12 events in their area for ONLY the cost of a yearly membership......people sign up in droves!

The idea from a "business standpoint" as you put it makes perfect sense. In fact, our business plan and model is far superior to ANYTHING thats currently on the market.

Think of like this...
the "Mcdonalds Approach" to sales and marketing. Instead of us charging large sums of money that kids (or their parents) dont have to attend 8-12 events, we charge them a simple 1 year membership.

Last week alone, we sold 250 memberships for the westpac conference in California. Thats a revenue of $16,250 of which about $4500 is cost for an entire season. That means in ONE WEEK we paid for an entire season AND made $11,750

I know you wont be attending, and thats fine. It wont effect us one way or the other

I was very interested when I first read this thread but am somewhat wary with the way you have responded to some of the people on here even if they are being a bit antagonistic.

I have to say that I live in Oregon but I (and many other long-time Halo players) have never heard of you or your company ever running anything in this state. Could you tell me some of the events you have run and any events that you are planning for Oregon? I'm sure I and other from the Oregon Halo scene would be very interested in at least coming and checking out one of your tournaments.

If they are really as high-quality as you state, the prizes are good, and there are a significant amount in our area than I am sure the fee wouldn't be a problem.

Anyways hey...
I posted here to get information and pass the word along. I didnt come here to defend an already successful business to a few rude ass people that dont understand the great things we are trying to accomplish for them. LTG sells itself, and therefore theres nothing to defend.

If you dont like our way of doing business, hey thats your right! However, this is the way we do things, and its pretty successful. Im pretty confident that in the next 2 years, LTG will be right up there with MLG as a prestigious pro gaming league.....but such things take time and careful planning ;)

To the few that passed on information via PM....THANK YOU VERY MUCH! It was extremely helpful, and we look forward to bringing you some quality events to your area!

To the rude kids......well...
*finger*

Have a nice day everyone....and I'll cya around!

I understand it is difficult dealing with rude people since I have run over a dozen Halo tournaments but if that is not your strong suit then I would recommend having someone else do your PR for you. Because as someone trying to come across as the head of a business, you are being unprofessional posting things like "To the rude kids......well...*finger*" The internet is unfortunately a place where people can sling insults and post whatever they want but I think you have to keep yourself from descending to people's level. People in this world are rude but being rude back never helps anything. Responding calmly and rationally normally defuses the situation better.

That being said do you have any tournaments planned for Oregon currently? Because it would be good for you to post as much info as you can on here so people know what you are planning to do in their area.

Thanks.

Well, maybe him not attending won't hurt your business but your attitude towards all your possible future customers will effect your business, when you own a small business being friendly towards your customers or potential customers should always be a priority. And the way your acting now will help you lose customers you COULD have had from this site i know i was going to look at the one in Virginia and probably buy a year pass, but the way you conducted yourself made me re-assess my thought. What i'm trying to say is you need to be more friendly and not rude even if it is a forum if you want to expand.

As for Seattle, We're planning an event on July 23, 2011 at a mall in Vancouver WA. Games supported at this event are Halo Reach and COD: Black Ops.

2v2 = $1000
FFA = $500

You claimed you made $16,000 from selling 250 memberships for one "conference" and that the cost for an entire season was only $4500, but it seems each event's prize offering alone is $4500 total with 2v2 and FFA for two different games (as seen above in the quote). That's just one event, how could $4500 cover an entire "season"? I'd like a little clarity on these things, so I'll offer an easy question format:

1. How many events do you have planned for 2011 and what are the dates and locations?

2. Are the prizes different for each event or do you plan to payout a total of $4500 per tournament?

3. How many paid members do you have total?

4. How many events have taken place in the past?

Just by reading a few of your posts, it is clear to me that (1) you need help with the English language (more specifically, go back to school and learn your grammar) (2) claiming you are successful in the west coast is false advertisement. I have never heard of you guys, and trust me, I've been to a lot of gamestops around LA/OC and I have not seen any of your "advertisements". Additionally, most of my gamer friends haven't heard of you guys either. And (3), you guys are not professional AT ALL (just look at the way you talk to your potential customers on here, not to mention the quality of your website)

I was actually interested in coming to an event of yours, but after seeing how you treat potential customers, the cockiness you seem to give out, and just the overall unprofessionalism, I am definitely never going to any of your events. I would suggest being more respectful next time, and just be more professional if you're going to try and sell something. Good luck anyways though!
