Both. An unpredictable strafe is a good strafe.

You never really want to do just a short strafe, or just a long strafe. A mix of both the latter and former is the best way to go about it;it's all for the purpose of fooling your opponent.

Depends on the situation. but me i prefer strafing short. and yes brimstone is right. an unpredictable strafe is a good strafe. so it could depend on who your playing also.

Pretty much this. I mix it up and it works out for me!

Vertical strafe is much more important in this game than H3.

the way I look at strafing:

♦Obviously, your surroundings limit your strafe, as in walls .. etc.
♦In really unexpected situations, either that be someone catches me off guard or I catch them ... I prefer a short fast strafe.
♦Don't just do short or long, you can do a "juke." I like to go long, short, juke like I will strafe back but then keep strafing. So it becomes a really long strafe with a juke in the middle.
♦Throw in a crouch here and there, also maybe spam when crouching ... bloom resets faster!
♦Strafing is key, but remember to play peak-a-boo with walls and other objects.
♦Already mentioned above this being most important, the purpose of strafing is to be unpredictable and even more so, make the opponent miss. A strafe is anything that you do to prevent your opponent from hitting you, not just left or right movement.
