so i posted this up on mlg but figured id get a better response here. does anyone know the hardware/software fix that the controller shop, my custom xbox, and envy uses to fix their controllers? ive searched and searched but no dice. i find it hard to believe that there are only 3 places that know how to do this in a whole group of tech smart people. but im coming up short on findings.

someone told me there was something you could download on the xbox live market for 100 microsoft points. It's suppose to be something that detects if the controller has slow turn, but then does it also fix it? I've tried finding it with no success. If I find anything out i'll let you know, and in return do the same for me please? My controller has slow turn also.

I know of the download you speak of. Its called Controller Doctor, It tests the functionality of all the buttons and slow turn. However, it DOES NOT fix it. Sorry :/

I saw a video on youtube of the process step by step. Can't remember the name offhand though, it's fairly simple!

If you looking for how to fix a slow turn issue your having with your controller and don't just want to buy one/send yours in. I spent about 5 min using Google and found several videos and articles written by people on how to fix the issue.

My advice after doing 3 is to:
- watch the videos
- use a dremel if you have one or wrap light grade sand paper around a sharpie or bigger cylinder
- take it slow and test with controller doctor so you don't take too much off
- you don't have to put the screws back in to test just put the controller together and hold it closed
- be sure to clean out all the plastic bits before reassembly
- enjoy a controller that actually works right for once

I no slowed my razor onza using the same technique as the videos. Harder to disassemble though :(

I used one of these...

and some light sanding to clean it up, to make sure I had a perfect circle.

so i just got my controller back from the controller shop. quite the fast process!

the controller doesnt turn slow in any direction. the right thumbstick does however feel a bit on the stiff side. not enough for a lot of people to notice. but enough to notice they must have done something to it. i still would like to know what!
