Top 10 Video Game Memories

Note: This is not a list of my personal favorite games, but rather the top 10 most historic and memorable moments in all Video Games according to me. Sorry if you don't agree!

10. Fighting MasterHand (SSB)

There's just something to that creepy laugh and the epicness of the fight that makes this my number 10 moment. Hell, no one can deny how awesome it was to fight him for the first time!

8. Maria Dies (Gears of War 2)

This is the first of 2 videos I have on this list which involves a loved one dying. The reason that this one is so much higher up is because Gears didnt make you connect with the characters on a deep emotional level like the latter game does. With that being said, Dom's anguish and new thirst for retribution in this scene easily make it one of the most memorable scenes in gaming history. The sound of the shotgun at the end is what really sealed the deal.


7. Saving the Princess (Super Mario)
*sigh* every time you go into a castle and killed that stupid oversized turtle, you get stuck with "Thank you Mario, but our princess is in another castle!". Im sorry, but F**k that. Seriously, in what world does it exist where there is a castle around every corner! On top of that, how many damn princesses can there be too? If I was an Italian plumber, I would be happy with just saving ONE princess. Every time I saw this quote, I cried a little :( I couldn't find a good clip of this pain in the ass moment, so instead I will leave you with this.

5. Return to Sender (Halo 2)

This scene is just so damn epic that I can't even describe.


4. "All your base are belong to us" (Zero Wing)

The mix of dance club music and horrifically crafted grammar makes this an instant meme! Nearly every line of this horrible translation is directly quotable!


3. Girlfriend Execution (The Darkness)

Despite how damn difficult it was to aim, The Darkness is one of my all time favorite games. One of the reasons that made it so great was its ability to make you connect with the characters. Being forced to watch your girlfriend be executed right in front of you invokes an actually feeling of sadness on a level that a video game shouldn't be able to do.


2. The Cake is a Lie (Portal)
It was too difficult to find a video that best demonstrates this moment, so this will have to suffice.

The simple fact is that Portal is a game filled with amazing quotes. However, The scrawling of this quote is one of those images that is burned into my brain.

I dont know about you, but I was stunned when I watched this scene. The combination of a creepy setting while watching yourself kill a man with no control over the situation *shiver*. Just always remember, "A man chooses, a slave obeys".

how about the end of Halo 3, Legend of Zelda: OoT, the big revelation in Knights of the Old Republic!! Its one thing to make a personal list but another to claim these are the top 10 without question or debate.

1.Walking into Hyrule field for the first time [OoT]

2. Walking out of the escape pod and being on Halo for the first time

3. Master Chief and Cortana floating towards legedary planet

4. looking from some of the highest towers in AC1,AC2

5. Some of the hidden plot elements in AC [Hitler Tessela and the Nuke]

6. The orginal mario world 1-1


7. Golden-F-ing Eye

8. First time hearing the CoD 4 pre match announcer [only good CoD game]

9. Walking onto Route 1 in the original pokemon

10. Reznov during the Verkuta Escape/Reznov plot twist

NEVER GOING TO BE ON ANY TOP TEN. Mw2 was the biggest disappointment in video game history, it was and still is broken, the campaign was absolute balls, and the game didn't feel good.

im currently Replaying OoT for the 3ds and i have to agree id say Pulling the Master Sword was HUGE! and Star Wars KoToR!!!!!!!!!!!!! and some of the biggest moments for me are Final Fantasy Moments!
