Halo CE Anniversary Links

Hey guys, I don't post much as you can see, but as an avid Halo fan, I wanted to bring to your attention links where you can voice your opinion on the remake and sign a petition for a full Halo: CE remake (even though it's highly unlikely). All I know is if I don't try, I can't complain. As it sits, the Halo Anniversary is nothing more than a remake of the campaign (which most of us have) along with an expansion pack for Reach much like ODST. I always say that a campaign is temporary, but multiplayer is eternal.

I understand not everyone may want this and I respect that, but if you are as passionate about the original Halo and want that experience, here's your chance to be heard....and who knows. Pray and cross your fingers.

we don't know what they are doing really, but we know its not full multiplayer, right now the most we can hope for is H1 maps (confirmed) and some H1 like tweaks or options (hinted) but not full multiplayer

There are a lot of good links in that thread to different sites with interviews and information. Again, like I said, at this time the remake will simply be a campaign remake, but NO Halo: CE XBL multiplayer (which is what I would like). I just don't think they thought it through or rushed it. Halo players have been asking for an original, full scale Halo 1 complete remake for years, not just a campaign they'll finish in a week. This is ONLY the campaign. The other aspect of this game will be an expansion pack to Reach with some old maps edited to fit things like Sprint and Jet Pack. This is the reason I would love to see more sigs in the petition and some feedback on the 343 site with what the fans want to see. Take a few minutes, check it out, and have some input on what you would like even if it isn't what I want out of the remake. In truth, I won't purchase the game if this holds because I already have 4-5 copies of Halo 1 and can play the campaign anytime I like. I don't need to spend anymore $money$ to do that.

they're not going to try to implement multiplayer. they already decided like two years ago that they didn't want to split the community. they want people to play reach, and they said that they will change some things in reach, like maybe a patch or something, that will make it as close to CE as possible, but they're not going to remake the multiplayer. even if they wanted to, there's not enough time, the game comes out in less than 5 months, the net code in CE doesn't support online multiplayer, and they said it would ruin the original experience of the game.

Right. they're going to use the reach engine instead of the H1 engine. Also, imo i dont like the fact that they're 're-mastering' the campaign; it wont just be better graphics, but it will have a different look and wont be the original in HD (which I wanted.)

i think they even said there was no netcode at all.

would be cool if they did it but they wont. especially this late in the development of the game. hopefully when the make the H2 remake they add online multiplayer (not confirmed just speculation, because they want to put out a halo every year but i dont think they would be dumb enough to make a NEW game every year.)

the H1 remake is the same exact game. the only change is the graphics. basically if you could do something in the original you can do it in the remake.

Basically we get a remake of story mode and a Halo Reach DLC? No way am I buying this if that is the case. (Well I probably will..) but still that is just very stupid. They got everyone excited for nothing.

anyone know if they will atleast include Local Multiplayer??? that's almost worth 60$ for me.
and anyone want to guess what maps they make for reach?
i would laugh if they remade warlock with the good mlg remake already in place

hilarious.. everyone here.. what is you're original experience of the game? for me it's Halo 2, but most of you im sure its H1 and lanning it up at home or a friends house.. its what started MLG. NOT jetpacks and armor lock.. but H1, the way it was MEANT to be played.. next they will murder halo 2.. then whats next? I personally am boycotting Halo:CE It's an absolute joke they are half heartedly remaking this and feeding it to the 10 million people that will buy it idiotically. I kind of wish halo would die and go away and maybe Halo 4 if that's any good (which it won't be if this trend continues) could save this franchise. Because in the hands of 343 it's clearly destined to fail

I don't want them to bring back the Halo 1 multiplayer unless they are 100% sure they can remake it. if they can't then there is no point since it wouldn't be the same and it wouldnt be the same. I already signed this petition a few weeks ago but if you guys ever enjoyed the Halo CE Multiplayer and want a CHANCE that it will come back to the xbox on XBL then please sign it. It takes 1 minute and it could make a difference. ^.^
