Last month, we made a series of changes to our Halo: Reach game testing process to address the concerns and complaints brought forward by you, the community. Your cries for change were heard, and we implemented a new system that relied on your constructive feedback to fuel the testing process.

Just four weeks later, we received a total of five posts during the most pivotal period of game testing before Anaheim. Five people took the time to give their input in the game testing process. Five.

We’ve done all we can to get you involved in the process. Your involvement in the testing sessions themselves has been great, but the quality and quantity of feedback in the designated forum threads has been massively underwhelming. In short, you simply have not held up your side of the bargain.

So here I am today with a call to action: If the community does not actively participate in the Halo: Reach game testing process moving forward, we will be transitioning to a system that does not incorporate community feedback in any way. You came together as a community and clamored for a system that gave you a voice – now it is time to use it.

If you’re not satisfied with the game types we released today, please use those feelings to fuel your participation in the process moving forward. We truly do value your feedback as a community and I sincerely hope that those of you who rallied for this change will follow through and do your part by providing your feedback on a regular basis.

- Sundance

PS: If you don’t know about the game testing process and want to learn how to get involved, please read this article (http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/news/the-new-halo-game-testing-process)

I feel like TLN should do their part in trying to make the next set of gametypes and maps the most fair and fun to watch. Unfortunately, I am at a college program with no way of getting on Xbox Live or I would do this. Please TLN, Let's get some testing and feedback going! I don't want v6 to be terrible and I miss Warlock!

Gotta love the Halo community. Even more so the MLG forums. Good for Sundance for saying something about it though.

Somebody should organize a TLN testing session and then we all give separate feedback and then send in a special consensus feedback so that they see a community POV and then a break down of what individuals think, and maybe one of the TLNers who has pro contact can organize to have a pro on each team during the testing sessions, so that the community POV can also be mixed with the pro's. I think if the TLN community works together we can really have pull on this.

An additional thought would be to not only rate games on how they're played and map aesthetics but also from a watching POV. For example, watching Sanc Bomb sucks because...
or
watching Sanc Slayer is awesome because.

I'll definitely do a viewer review next time and maybe follow up with a gameplay review.

Tried to get several testing sessions before v4, and I am glad for the most part what was picked. Sorry but this community really doesnt really care about the maps til after the fact. Sorry for the rant but forgers spend a crap load of time from designing to testing, thats why there hasnt been many maps posted here lately due to no one really gave feedback. So I am glad mlg is going down this road, its like voting, dont cry about who was selected unless you actually helped in a way the community needs. Hopefully TLN will try to do their part by setting up a forge section but that is highly unlikely

shouldnt be sorry you are right. honesly im not all that mad about the maps but i am kinda disappointed that we are down too 2 game types. makes the game boring, hell id even rather them put sanc. territories in for at least a little different feel.

I completely agree (well not about the territories, but you know :p)

How can this game only have 2 gametypes? I am sure that more will be chosen before Anaheim, or at least I hope.

But I also 100% agree with Sundance in taking out Bomb. Watching 15 minutes of a game for 1 bomb arm was NOT fun. So for that I am happy. I mean, everytime I saw a Bomb gametype, I would get annoyed because I knew I was about to be bored to death. Hopefully, *crosses fingers* we get some KOTH back. Only problem with that is it might not be fun on the crappy maps we have right now, so we need more maps.

God this is a vicious cycle. Nitro, if you want to get a testing session going, please let me know and invite me!
