Epic poker wins and beats

Okay I wanted to get a little off topic and away from Halo and everything that surrounds it for a little bit and I would like to create a thread dedicated to all those people that play poker. Anyone that plays it has stories of a hand they had that they just cannot forget good or bad. So that is what this thread is for. Share your epic win or beat with all the other forum poker players. :)

I have had so many river rat moments that have made me rage quit so fast but the one that sticks out for me was the one time I had Pocket Aces and a guy goes all in. Naturally you have to call no matter the situation and when his cards show he has like Ace Four suited and on the flop I hit my trip Aces and he gets one of his suits, the turn comes another one of his suits and the river he nails his flush and I before I know it I am out of the game!

My favorite win would be when I had a straight flush and I was able to beat a guy whose straight flush was smaller then mine :)

6 man poker tournament at university, �10 with prize of �40 for the winner. At about 3am, i am so tired i call All in on a blind hand. And the only guy left Jon (In the photo) Calls me as well. I show my hand first, Pocket 10's. He shows his, Pocket Aces...

So i say GG, and wait for the flop.

5,5,3 So he is beating me on a 2 pair.

Online when I was a seat away from a free ticket to play in the Main Event, I lost with pock rocks to 2 6 offsuit. Dude hit 3 freakin twos on the community. If you can tell me the odds of that I'd like to know cause it seems pretty freakin ridiculous. I havn't played since.

That is so dumb and should never happen. internet poker is a robbery. honestly tonight i had AK and on the flop comes KK9 so slow play by checking the other guy in my hand bets half my stack so I think this guy cannot have 9's honestly and I call and sure as shit he has pocket 9's and on the turn comes an Ace and I was able to hold him off. There is something about online poker and these hands happening a lot i know i won but at the expense of pissing someone off haha.

I used to play a whole lot of poker probably 3 or so years ago. I had a bankroll of several thousand online, and played a lot of live games.

The biggest single game I ever played was a cash game. Me and my friend Danny went to a lot of games around the island since Hawaii has no casinos. This particular game was a bunch of lawyers and business owners, and the min buyin was $1500.

I lost my money the first time trying to wait out bigger stacks. I bought in again, and got this hand.

AA. Anyway, I get my money all in against one guy with some side money in the pot as well. It was total around $4300. So, I'm all in, and we flip our cards. I turn over my aces, and he flips A5. I'm freakin ecstatic.

The flop comes 5xx. I'm feeling pretty good. The turn comes, no help for either of us. Then the dealer throws a 5 on the river, and I almost died. I shook hands and left, but Danny called me later to make sure I was good. Haha, I will never be that nervous again.

My luckiest win was playing online, I was pretty deep in a tournament and had a healthy stack, the big stack on the table raised 3x big blind, and i had KK So I re raised to get everyone else out of the way, he re raised all in and I called, obviously scared of AA but I called, he did have AA but I caught a King on the flop, awesome. Turn came Ace, then the river came King so I hit quad kings to beat 3 of a kind Aces

A memorable beat of mine was when I was learning to play poker I was 12 and just learning to play, we were playing just for fun at my dads house with some relatives and friends, I was doing really well and kept slow playing, and bluffing, and basically just owning this guy john, and he was getting pissed. I had 10 10 and he raised so I called, it was just us in the pot. the flop came A A 10. I checked and he checked. turn came, check check, on the river he bet and I raised, he went all in and he called. I smugly flipped my boat and he showed A10 then he jumped up, spilled his beer, got in my face and screamed BOOOOOOOOOYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH MOTHER******, then he remembered I was 12 and calmed down, to this day everyone still makes fun of him for it
