However I do find that the quoted callouts seem a little unlikely.
Interesting to see the outside perspective on Esports:
"It sounds like a joke, but e-sports are attracting a lot of attention. Major League Gaming reports that a record-breaking 22.5 million people from 164 countries watched the most recent tournament in Columbus, Ohio."
Also can I add that MLG never worded it "people" it was streams served. Which I'm sure includes refreshed and multiple streams viewed by one person. Similarly at the Red Bull LAN they report over 1.5 million views; although when I watched the viewer count never seemed to be over a thousand.
Anyway its great news to hear Esports outside of Korea is growing ever more popular and generating a lot of interest.
