Hey guys just wanted to share a few of my thoughts on everything TLN right now because i'm done with homework, done following my NFL fantasy team for the day, am waiting on dinner, and am just overall pretty bored. I'd also love to hear y'alls comments on what parts you agree with in my thread and what parts you don't. So without further adoooooo..... (or however you spell that last word :confused: )
Things I <3 about TLN
1. The Design: I love the new website design and features. It seems like everytime TLN has made a change to the site, it has been for the better. Whoever the programmers are have done a great job!
2. The Features: I love reading the articles when they come out. TLN has recruited some good writers thus far. When the video interviews came out from the guys I thought it was so cool! The only thing I think would have been cooler would have been to record all the interviews, and release a new one each day leading into the event. That way TLN members get something new eachday! but maybe that's just more of a personnal opinion for me and other members would like them all at once.
3. The Forum: I've mentioned this before, and probably multiple times, but I love how these forums are so supportive. It suprised me when I first joined this site how helpful everyone was and how different it is from the mlgpro forums. Also there are some really helpful mods. Quick shoutout to Huerer or however you spell it :p he's helped me with a few technical things and shoutout to itwazmagik for always commenting in new threads and congrates on the alias of the month!
4. The Creators and the People Running the Site: When I first joined the site I wanted to change my username and Peridious changed it for me right away. I've noticed whenever there's an issue regarding memberships in the forums he's always ontop of it.
I'd also like to personally say thank you to Mr. and Mrs. P for making all this possible. Not only just the site but allowing all those guys in your house for the LAN! haha sounds crazy. I like Mrs. P's "Guess Who Contest" because they are new and fun and different and also her Menu of food. I like how she contributes to the site with stuff other than gaming. And as for Mr. P I think it's awesome how involved he is in the site and in the forums. Its always awesome when the owner of any business or website is as involved with the community as any of it's members.
Some things TLN could change/work on:
The Chatbox: It's so hard to follow people's repsonses when it is completely all one color, and there is no scroll bar. Sometimes when you're trying to follow responses it seems like a whole new page of text refreshes and you have to look all the way down to the last one you remember seeing there and then try to read up and keep up. It's difficult! lol
More Customization of Profile Pages: I think it'd be cool to be able to customize and personalize your profile page. This is a community of friends and I think it'd be cooler to see a little more about people than just an avatar and some texts about them. So maybe like be able to put your own wallpaper in the background.
TLN's Lan Highlights Section under the media page: Here's a thread I already created explaining all of that
MLG Cribs: A Day in The Life: Another thread I created that has got 362 views so it's easy to tell how much the community is interested in it.
More Pro/Fan connection: This isn't so much something TLN can control as much as the Pro's themselves could but I feel like the Pro's would gain so many more loyal fans if they made a little stronger of an effort to be involved in the forums or maybe even creating blogs answering questions from just TLN members.
