Is it true that one must use their MLG ID when going into events and not their actual Gamertag?
And is that what must be on your jersey?

u are supposed to use ur alias. if u get points you can change it so plan accordingly

What do you mean by "alias"? And you mean I have to win points to change it? Or buy some sort of points?

Your "alias" is your MLG site username. By points he means event points you get by placing well.

I think what they are trying to say is that if you place high and get a following they will let you put whatever the heck you want on your jersey.

Oh wow. I thought I read something once it just had to be similar to your MLG iD. Like my MLG iD is cF_WiNGER I thought I would be able to use just WiNGER or WING8R if I wanted. As long as it resembled it. Don't remember if I read it on a forum or in something else though.

When i competed i put my gamertag "B r w n" on my jersey, but when playing matches i had to use "iBrwn" because that was my MLG iD; but you can atleast make your jersey personal.

The commissioner emailed me back after I asked him this same question and he responded with. "You may use vVv Perilous instead of Perilous89 (mlg id)." But to be safe because some refs are more anal than others... just put your mlg id as w.e you want to use at MLG and do not keep changing your name.
