So yea, I went to pop in my Halo Reach disc, then I noticed the Inner ring of the disc....Has 2 cracks in it. Is that something I should be worried about and stop playing, or is it just fine?

My disc is messed up too. Instead of cracks in the middle, I have a chunk missing in the hole in the middle of the disc. It still plays just fine and loads everything. I will eventually by a new one, but until that day, I'm going to play that thing to the core.

The inner ring starts to break because of the new cases. When you continually put it in and out of the 'disc holder' inside the case it doesn't do the job nicely. That's why I have all of my favorite games in sleeves. :P

My has that same inner crack as well, but when I installed H3 back into the xbox i notice it did it to that one as well. So I am assuming in my case that it is my xbox. So what i ended up doing is downloading them onto my hard drive. What I had notice when I played on the cracked inner disk I was unable to upload maps on both Reach and H3.
this needs to become a new "yo mammas" thread of sorts
e.g.
Your Halo Disc is so F****D up that it thought it was Call of Duty
or
Your Halo Disc has so many rings that a lumberjack thought it was 100 years old

Shall do! Was always worried they would shatter or something.

Disks are fine with a couple of cracks as long as they don't weight them too much at one side. A slight crack will do no harm to it but missing a piece making it unevenly weighted will. When it is rotated at 54RPM it will make it wobble and can cause damage to your CD drive.
Just FYI

Thanks! Exactly what I needed to know. It's a even crack that goes through both sides, nothing big or anything.
