A Long Incredible Run

Over the past 3 years I was introduced to a community of Pro's Am's and general fans of Halo, the memories of the experiance's I have had will never be forgotten. From the start of going in my basement and watching Joe Fries play Halo 1 & 2 to watching ToTz play Halo 3 & Reach it has been so much fun that I cant tell you. The start of the Winter Wonder LAN & Summer LAN were both the start of a huge part of our family's gaming endevor, that has taking us in my opinion to the peak of gaming. Where ever this road will take us in the future I can tell you that I will never forget all the people I have met along the way, an incredible amount of great people that I would have never met and experianced time with because of Halo and MLG. Times are tough for everybody and Im not writing this for people to change there opinion about me or us, but I have invested alot of time and money into bringing a chance for people to see what we see on a daily basis when we have our LAN's. Thats how it all started, I realized how much other people would love to see there favorite pro's up close and personal and see their game play live on there own computer listening to their communication live !! Then it kept getting bigger and 2 team LAN's turned into 7 team LAN's and Fantasy,as well as Interactive Fantasy. Then the Gaming House was born and teams came from all over to play here and compete to get ready for all the MLG events. Again it has been a long and incredible run and for as many fans over the years that have stood by us Thank You, for all the other fans that dont like us, I still respect your opinion and I dont dislike anyone for there opinions. There has to be a Ying for every Yang and thats a fact that I understand. I am writing this not to have people like me, or feel for me or us in any way. Im writing this because many people are mis understood with TLN and I just wanted to clear the air about some things before everything was said and done. TLN was made by me to enjoy and have others enjoy it, I never realized that it would get this big and I really never thought that it would turn into a dependent machine that needed so much attention. But with the way the economy is and how tough it is to make and earn money now a day's it's become a little un bearable at times. Running my 3 company's that I earn my income from is alot more difficult with the demands of TLN. We tried to do something to change that going to Justin.tv but with caps at 80 dollars per day per stream it could not even cover the costs of the food to feed the Pro's, anyway I know alot of you dont believe or realize the amount of money it takes to run this but it's roughly like 10-11 thousand a month crazy !! Again im not telling everyone this for any simpathy because I have Loved every minute of it and wouldn't change a thing, but some people think im in this for the money and couldn't be more wrong. How ever long TLN continues to broadcast and host LAN's I dont know, but the amout of friends we have developed from this no one could ever take that away from me and my family. One day all of the Yangs will get there wish and they wont be entertained by ToTz and the P family. When that day comes I know everyone will have many memories of the great times we did have, I sure will !! Remember, enjoy the day's you have because no one knows what tomorrow may bring. When the day comes I will remember a great community who all loved Halo and enjoyed the best in the world playing in front of our eyes. So again Thank you all for your support and also for all the so called haters you guys made me keep pressing forward to reach as high as I could go with this, for that I will miss you guys as well. I know my family will talk about the days we were involved with gaming and have countless stories to tell about it to each other !!

Mr. P, I'm never canceling my subscription and I will do all I can to spread the word of this great site. The appreciators far outweigh the haters. The haters are just "LOUDER" if you know what I mean. The new stream site looks GREAT and I'm sure once all the initial bugs are worked out it will be the best place to watch competitive Halo :).

So sad that some idiots out there expect to have everything handed to them. However, I must say that even though I am not a premium member or whatever, I will gladly pay 9.99 to watch the LAN stream as my busy schedule allows. Growing up sucks. :)

I love you guys, Mr. P., the whole family, and I've never even met you guys. You have my respect, and I love TLN. TLN helped get my little brother and his friends into competitive Halo, and has led to me being able to spend more time with him doing things we both love ( he's 11 I'm 22 ). This has been great and when it's over I'll be sad, but I've loved and will appreciate every great moment you guys have given us.

I have never cancelled and will never cancel my subscription. What you bring to the community is unmatched and these LANs are something I look forward to for weeks. The content I receive throughout the weekend is truly worth more than what I pay. If this were to end, I would be truly upset along with a lot of other people.

You are not allowed to criticize anything that TLN does or you are complaining or ungrateful. I earned myself a perma ban from the stream chat this week for criticizing TLN staff members running of the stream without even a warning or a time out. Half the users were critical of the lag only to be told that the problem was all on their end because apparently TLN is infallible. The mods were running the show like fascists and could not handle any criticism. I genuinely apologise to the staff for my outburst in chat which I will admit no doubt came across a bit immature with lots of expletives and colorful words but I still feel I had legitimate reasons for my outburst. At the end of the day you are running a business and if you are going to charge money for it you need to run it professionally,listen to the complaints of your customers and address them instead of always justifying your position and acting like your service is perfect.. because its not.

All i know is that TLN allowed me to talk (type) directly with big Daddy T who is the reason i started watching MLG in the first place. He's been my favorite player for years and I was ecstatic like a little kid that i was able to talk to him. Only TLN, i repeat, ONLY TLN, could have done something like that.

I remember back when everyone in the community knew EVERYONE. Now it's gotten very big, but I understand how hard it is to run this site especially when you're losing money in the process. Mr. P and his family have done so much to take competitive Halo to another level for MLG. I remember when it was a huge deal that the Ogre Parents would let one or two teams come LAN against FB, then Mr. P came along and brought 4-6 team LANs that were available for thousands of people to watch. His basement gave dozens of kids a chance to enhance their skills and have a great time. Definitely the most caring and generous family that I've ever seen in the MLG community. There will always be criticism when things aren't perfect, but people are ignorant to not see how important TLN and the basement have been to competitive Halo for the last 3 years.

Mr. P, maybe you can try to reach out to Sundance to try to find some kind of partnership with MLG and their sponsors to try to subsidize your operating costs so you don't have to carry such a huge burden. Just wanted to say that you have done so much for the community whether a lot of players know or believe it. You have truly changed me as a person and a player as well, not to mention connecting me with top players. It seems that people try to take advantage of people when they do helpful things. For people to bitch and whine all the time about small minor things can get really annoying. instead of people telling you what is wrong they should give you suggestions on how to fix it. Like maybe having a person run the TLN without your help 24/7 his pay could be free rent at the house or something. This can help you focus more on your business and allow you to stop in whenever you can. I have more ideas if you would like to discuss them sometime. I really do not want to see TLN go away, especially Totz, Mr and Mrs P!
