when halo3 came out, the ar starts were perfect. some ran out to grab a needler, or a grav hammer, or people just stuck with the ar. this gameplay was fun.no skill or snobs talking about how pro they were. then mlg came. this playlist replaced most of the maps weapons with the br or noob combo in mind. people then started to learn how to use this weapon exclusivly and efficiently. and somehow people outside of this playlist learned of this knowledge. everywhere became an mlg. all br br br br. 4 shots rinse and repeat. people rushed to the br start, and they only went for power weapons. 1 in every 3 matches had needlers and brute shots and grav hammers used by people who knew what they were doing. others just had wannabees who only knew how to use the br and were busy making a youtube vid singling out the wep they sucked at. around a week before reaches launch, i saw that the grav hammer, and needlers, and brute shots were left mostly untouched. i did see however that the br and sniper rifle and rockets were gone. mlg corrupted this game.


this is gonna happen to reach. we must stop it, or contain the mlg's in there proper playlist. rise up and fight!!!!! mlg begone!


if i said something not factual, im sorry. this is my observation.

I like how anytime you go on their forum you can look at a page of threads and roughly half of them are locked from someone posting a question or something bungie doesn't like. For example I got booted in a game and now i'm on the whole quit a game and get banned for 15 min nonsense. I'd be ok with this if I didn't occur when I get booted, power goes out, internet goes out, or when I just don't feel like playing 1 flag on hemmorage. I posted one thread in there asking when I get out of the ban period and I got one response that said "faggot" and then the thread was locked. Bungie community is just awful really. Words can not describe how simply retarded this person is for posting that about MLG. "How dare MLG come in fix the game to make it fair and since I can't 4 shot people it is not fair to me." It is like how they "took out" flag running because it is unfair to those who don't know how.

I feel like I just ranted a tiny bit. My apologies but I've been browsing through the bungie forums a lot lately and getting info from people about how this apparent "voting based" system of updates is working. Most I see on forums is just complaints threads and bungie locking them. I blame people like this guy.

Haha let me roll it into something smaller. I was saying I like how bungie is saying all their updates is based of voting and such. Yet if you see on their forum people post threads ranging between raging and simply asking about how stuff works to be informed. I don't like how the threads are getting locked in their forum for people asking simple question. I feel like bungie has not been doing a good job lately at keeping the game how it used to be. I feel it's people like this guy you posted this thread about that are the people bungie is basing the game updates on.


Edit: I also got banned for 15 min for getting booted because a guy ran on top of my grenade a t-bagged it. Which resulted in the rant at the beginning haha.

I whole heartedly disagree with this guy, but I can definitely see where he is coming from. For a unskilled player, who purchased the game for entertainment in the sense they wanted to blindly fire bullets at people with no pre conception of skill or tactics, MLG would seem to ruin the game. MLG has become a standard amongst Halo players, and while we may all see the use of the DMR and Sniper as a testament to our skill, others see it as an exploit of an overpowered weapon that is making their multiplayer experience less than adequate. So I believe they have every right to rage on Bungie forums with the other 'social' halo players.

Of course 343 could always just remake Halo: CE with online multiplayer, and kids would never have to worry about me ruining their team swat games with my nasty killtacs on Reach ever again.

everyone has their own idea of how a game should be.
i feel halo has a wider range of players than most games and i think it caters for most.
but seriously no one or no thing can cater for everyone, i tried that once had a mental breakdown :)

Well that guy is entitled to his opinion whether I agree with him or not is not the point. All he has to do is not play the mlg playlist for reach if one were to come out and he would be good.
