I mean i know we haven't played a tournament in a while but im thinking about having a tourney and everyone that enters should send one dollar, or more (depending how many people are gonna play and the amount they wanna send) to someone so we can play the tournament and the winner and 2nd place winner gets money, i mean its just an idea if its not a good idea than we wont do it, but please comment and tell me if its a good idea thanks!

Me and Aran will hopefully be hosting a tournament shortly. We have talked about it a bit. I do believe we are waiting for summer to die down since it went better before people had so many summer plans, trips and such. So hopefully in the next month or two this should be possible.

I tried..... :(
I just don't have the time to play anymore.
Plus I got bigger things I need to take care of now.
I'll enter for sure.
You can use my old formats if you want.

I elect Cheeky to be the one to figure out where to hold the prize money.

Agreed. I enjoyed the first tournament you ran man. I also don't blame you for what happened with the 2nd one >_< more or less the people playing in it.

I honestly think that When some one does an online tournament they should have a few additional requirements.
1st. Do it in 1day if Possible, its easier to Tell people to not plan anything for 1day, then multiple days.
2nd. Every one needs Skype, to make it easier to organize when people should be playing their matches, and so that who ever is running this, can correct any problems a lot quicker.
3rd. Use Challonge.com to make your brackets, they update every minute.

It would be very hard to fit it all in a day depending on how many people there are.
Even if everyone had skype it wouldn't make it easier. Not everyone would get on it. It's not that we can't contact each other in ways, it's just people aren't on to be contacted.
We did use the Challonge.com brackets.

Not trying to be a dick here, but here I go
1 you can do it in one day, PEOPLE NEED TO PLAY THEIR MATCHES, on time, (unless there are too many people)
2. I don't mean specifically skype, but some way that is quicker then PM on these forums.
3. Didn't say you were not using them, just saying for whom ever runs this tournament.

I would say use Binary Beast bracket system. They front alot of UK sc2 tournament and supporting them supports local Sc2 eSports for me.

The problem is you really CAN'T do it in one day. I understand your point and I'm also not trying to be a dick. If you've ever seen how this a community tournament is ran then you should know it can't be done in a day. Let's say you have 30 people sign up. Then you would have to somehow find a day where all 30 people have pretty much the entire day free so they can sit on their computer they entire day and wait until it's time for them to play again. It won't happen. There is no way your going to coordinate 30+ people to sit in front of a computer for an entire day for a community held tournament.
It's simply better to have people take an hour out of their day a few times a week to play their matches.
We used other means then the forums to contact people. I personally was using, skype, steam, AIM, XBL, and the in game chat of SC2.

I wouldn't worry about it. I honestly doubt you will get people to sign up till school starts and even more so I doubt you'll get people to put money into it.
