I need assistance. Help me TLN! :D

Sup guys and gals. I need some help with my HD and XBL. Now you see whenever I plug in my HDMI cable into my TV and Xbox (obviously) it doesnt seem to pick up my wireless internet connection but when I plug in my regular cable (VGA or componant I have no idea) it seems to work perfectly. Im stuck with what to do about it.

Help me pals!!!!! :(

P.S Its the new slim xbox if that helps.

I'm sot sure what that problem would actually be, so let's do some troubleshooting...

First, I want you to plug in the HDMI cable and then turn off the xbox. Wait about 20 seconds and turn it back on. Then, if it still isn't working, restart your wireless reciever on the xbox. You can do this by going into the network settings on the dashboard. Get back to me with the results and we'll go from there.
