I got it at midnight, got in a few games of multiplayer. Loved the Classic Playlist. Didn't get to campaign but will soon. Stoked! :)

The ability to switch from original graphics to the new graphics on the fly is pretty epic. I have Kinect, so I'm also getting a little kick out of tossing grenades by simply saying "Grenade!" LOL. You can also reload in the same manner, which is actually quite useful in the heat of battle.

Frank O'Connor has been grilled about that endlessly. He made a couple points...
1. Didn't want to fragment the community from Reach just yet, as Reach is only a year old. Eh, this one it could be argued is lame, I am one who would make that argument - but I can see the point.
2. This is the main one IMO - porting Halo CE multiplayer into Live would not be the uber experience everyone thinks it would be. Halo CE was NOT engineered for online play. I don't know how well Xbox Connect worked, but Frank said that the entire engine would have to be scrapped and rebuilt just to make it feasible. At that point he said it was better to just go with the Reach engine. I tend to agree. Reach's engine is great, the reason a lot of people don't like it is the bloom in the DMR, AA, and player movement speed. Those things in and of themselves aren't the cause of the engine, but gameplay mechanics. I played some classic the first night and I gotta say it was a blast, and felt nothing like Reach.
