I like TLN but simply navigating the forums to me gets to be annoying because of being lazy from long days. I think if we could have the forums cleaned up a bit like sections long unused to be deleted and such it would be nice because to me right now it seems kind of sloppily organized.

Just a suggestion.

There isn't a reason to delete any section.

Cleaning up the forums wouldn't be a bad idea.

Probably is they've been long unused because the site has been long unused and not everyone has come back. You don't want to remove reasons to draw people from coming back, give it time.

I am curious to know what you think here. Be more specific with what sections you think should be removed. I do think some things should be cleaned up, but I don't know that removing sections is the best way to accomplish this.

I have never understood this issue. New threads come to the top, old threads go to the bottom. It's not really that hard to work out. I DO understand, that right now all the threads are unused. Just start using them again. If we start deleting things, then the information that has already been provided on the forum will be gone. Most threads that were thought important or popular were stickied. If you really need something else, do a search. If that comes up with nothing, post a new thread.

I'm not trying to be rude. I've never really understood people's issues with too many threads when forums are SO easy to navigate if you do it right.

Edit: I was never really a fan of the B/S/T section though. I wouldn't mind if it all got deleted. I'm not doing anything but basic modding for a while though.

The threads will begin to get used once the site gets back up and running and is used on a daily basis by everyone again

Most threads from a while back are obviously untouched from the forums being down. Just think the old ones should be archived if possible so it doesn't look so crowded.

If we archived them then eventually we would have to bring them back once people start wanting to post in them.

In my opinion everyone here right now should just take an hour to make some really outstanding threads and push all the old threads to page 2. That wouldn't require any type of moderating and both issues at hand would be solved. Let's post more threads and start new discussion and the forums will be current again. That's all it takes.

I also wanna know specific sections to be removed and what kind of community TLN wants to be.

I think the solution is simple like forefront said a few posts ahead of me. You let the threads that aren't used go to the bottom and any that aren't being used due to the site being down, just start using them again. As for a cleanup there are some useless threads but every forum has that.

If we advertise TLN on more than just twitter more people will come and use the unused threads/sections.

It would take a while to get those posts pushed down by new ones. If you haven't noticed we're the community I have seen 0 pros come on here to post that's the problem =/. They need to be more involved on TLN I mean they are the ones who it was for and if it they loved it why don't they show it now?
