Hey guys,
I just got A40's and a mixamp, I just have no idea how to set it up or anything. Should I use USB or the optical cable? Please help!
Also, if there is already a thread like this feel free to merge or post a link to it, thanks!

You're so nice. Thanks.
The usb plugs into the left backside of the Mixamp and into the back of one of your Xbox 360 USB ports. The Optical cable plugs into the right backside of the Mixamp and into the back of your Xbox (If you have a slim) or into the back of the (I think) video audio on your xbox. The headset plugs into the left frontside of the mixamp. The little cable with a small box halfway through the wire helps you talk on Xbox Live, that plug into the right frontside of the mixamp and into the bottom of your controller.

Agreed. It took more work to post on here than to simply look at a pic in the manual haha! But good luck with the setup.

I use the usb to power the thing from my computer which is beside my xbox. The benefit beyond not using batteries is that sound from my computer is mixed in. Now I have one headset for computer and xbox with no need to switch cables.
