I have noticed that there is a good portion of the community located in the U.K. and would like to call upon those members for some help.

My mom and I are currently traveling in London for a week long vacation. We are doing the normal touristy attractions (e.g. Tower of London, Big Ben, etc.), but I was wondering if there was anything that, perhaps, a local might suggest.

I know this a long-shot, but I like those sort of obscure "hole-in-the-walls" that only the locals would know about. Places such as Westminster Abbey are awesome, but are incredibly crowded, and thus less enjoyable.

If anyone has any sort of suggestion, please let me know!

Thanks :)

Take a trip down to Camden Town, see the market, experience some of the pubs there. It is by far the best time i had when in London.

Or just go for some good old English Pub Grub. Fish, chips and mushy peas. Steak and Kidney Pie, Jellied Eeels(If you have a strong stomach)

You could also see how much it would cost to get a train to Canterbury, you can see the largest Cathedral in England there. With Canterbury being such an old town aswell i am sure there are many more places to visit there too.
