We here at TLN have come to realize that our current t-shirt design sticks :(

So we are coming to you the community to design us some new ones!

Design a shirt and submit it here!

Prizes will be updated but you will for sure receive a few copies of the shirt you design if chosen!

Either. Its always good to have lots of designs of each. If you wanna design more than one style by all means go for it.

they are pretty outdated, but I think 3 and 5 would look good on a shirt and number 2 as an allover print. I may edit in some mockups

Yeah the first in your last post demoralize has the most potential for sure.

I think something cool to do would be to play on the "TLN" phrase and come up with gaming related sayings.

So for instance across the front it would read:

"Tough Loss Newbs" with the T L and N standing out or being a different color, then have "www.thelannetwork.com" across the back

Another saying could be "Throw Less Nades" or "Teach Lesser Noobs"

Something dorky like that.

Really like the overall feel of the first two, only problem I can see is something with the second photo. The E in Network kind of gets lost. Just my opinion but overall loving the designs

I don't really have the resources to design it, if someone wants to make it you can take full credit:

It's simply a Xbox Controller/Headset draped over the shoulders of the T-Shirt. In the case of the controller it would be near the left or right pectoral with the wire going up and over the shoulder and then the wire would come down and wrap around TLN logo possibly warping it.

Obviously its open to your interpretation, anyway to jiggle it about to make it work.

For colours it would be a white T-Shirt everything black and white except the TLN logo, or you could invert it.

I like a lot of these Designs, the paint splatter one by D_Moralize is nice. Creativebase and Swick, nice stuff. I really like U4ix idea too.

Guys, these designs are all totally amazing! Lots of talent representing in TLN community! I am wondering if someone could take all the designs we have so far and put them on a single page with letters next to them so we can all see them and vote.

2) A survey could be created (via SurveyMonkey or other free survey site) but it is very easy to spoof around these and vote more than once to influence the outcome.

i believe the best way to choose should be have a voting by the community, but also have the staff have final say in choosing. because otherwise. people could easily, send random people here or make new accounts to vote.

Totally understand. As with anything like this that's something you have to account for. e.g. MLG's design contests finalists are usually picked by staff then the community votes on their favorite of the bunch. Rick has the say in how it's done though so I'll send him an email when I get off work with a proposal of how we should do this. :)

OK everyone - looking SPECTACULAR!! I had a great meeting yesterday about a source to make these. I like Heuer's idea of putting together a list of all the designs and have people vote. They are all so amazing it will be tough. After yesterday - I want to focus on the top 3 - once the votes are in I will provide any tiebreaking decisions. Create survey away Mr. Heuer!

fyi the top designs we end up picking (will probably be more than one) will all go in our e-store for purchase. I will then contact each artist and put together a financial arrangement for each shirt sold through the store...more on that to come!

What if we make a big image with all the entries numbered, and then select a mod or staff member, obviously not myself since I entered, and we have everyone pick their top 3or 5 designs and PM them to that person who will keep count in an excel document? We did this for the forum awards and it worked fine, we were not limited by poll numbers and we could verify you weren't voting twice. The only downside is you would have to trust the person wasn't lying, but since Rick gets to make the final decisions anyways it doesn't really matter, we could even have two people you send your votes too, just to make sure the numbers match.

I like that idea of getting them narrowed down. Would you be able to get throw together a large image of all the entries for me? Obviously I'll verify that all the designs have been added, but I'm just terrible at merging images together. :)

And since it's now March, let's consider entries effectively closed. I'll leave this thread open until staff have gotten the list down to 10 and then I'll go ahead and make a designated thread for voting.
