So I just posted this idea in the Halo Council's forums as well and I want to see what you guys think about my idea (assuming that some of you don't go to THC's forum).
So here is probably the craziest idea ever. I don't really know what kind of reaction to expect from this post.
What if we as the competitive community pushed for a tournament that 343 threw for all Halo players using default H4 settings once it comes out. Similar to the CoD XP when MW3 hit shelves. This would do a couple things.
1. It would bridge the gap to a certain extent between the casual gamer and the competitive gamer.
2. It would spark an interest into actually buying the game to people who are on the fence.
3. I am sure that a "Pro" team or a known team in our community would win it and everyone would see that causing the casual gamers that didn't know that much about the competitive scene to look into it a little more resulting in the competitive community to grow in numbers.
Those are the things that I could think of off the top of my head. Now the next thing is if you guys think that it is a good idea we need to spread the word to as many different forums as possible and contact 343 about making it happen. I am sure if enough people push for it they will deliver.
