am I the only one who doesn't wanna play reach basically at all because the sniper is just too easy now...grenades turned into a power weapon...rocket blast radius seems HUGE....and personally i want my br back...guess its halo 3 for about another 3 years

I definitely prefer H3 over Reach. I agree with what you said about everything except for the rockets. I've always though that the rocket's blast radius SHOULD be huge, to make it a very important weapon to control.

But yeah, I mean I'll definitely get used to Reach eventually, but I'm going to appreciate H3 as long as I can before the playlists go empty from everybody moving on to BlackOps/Reach/other games.

Im barely playing Reach because of how bad it is till the MLG playlist is out and I start practicing for the 2011 season. I should be on GB and playing that with a good team till 2011 events but Reach is so boring that I barely wanna play it.

Yeah I've noticed I'm getting bored a lot with Reach, and I just end up switching over to H3 after only playing a couple games.

Me personally I like reach it is just I have to have a team going into matchmaking because my teammates usually are not that good and they quit out alot... but thats pretty much all online games in general so i kinda expect that.

Well IMO this game is amazing and I mean that of course w/o the AA's I hate them. Sprint is fun and evade though. Basically the DMR is a great weapon and all who disagree are welcome to their opinions as well. The DMR has a bloom which lets you control your shot :) instead of some lame spread and not to mention Reach has hit scan :) not more BS registry issues. Sure the maps released were horrible and AA's aren't the best but if you have played H1 then you know the rockets are back the pistol is back with +2 shots of course and the grenades are similarly powerful but with a shorter fuse time. This is the exact same thing people said when H3 came out after H2 everyone was freaking out over the changes and then eventually most people came to like the game. So for all of you who just came around for h2 and h3 give the game a chance.

I think MLG did amazing with shaping a pile of poop into a great masterpiece.
I love running customs, it feels really smooth.
The games are almost always within a few kills so the matches are really close.
The increase in the rockets power just made them that much more important.
I dont like AAs but I think MLG did a good job appeasing both sides of that issue.

Loads of people always used to complain (some still do) that H3 wasn't as good as H2 but they eventually all switched over to H3, it's the same deal with Reach IMO, people may still moan somewhat, but they'll still play and not look back, lol.

i enjoy reach, there is times i just hate it and wanna play H3. But i think that will go away once a MLG Playlist is out. so for now im just playing for fun and enjoying the game:)

The reason I personally think Reach isn't as fun is because the only goals they have are long term. In Halo 2 and 3 you were constantly climbing up in levels. Everyone wanted to win every game because that is what effected your level, so the games were more intense and fun to play. With Halo: Reach I find myself playing games and not having any fun because I just want the game to end so I can get my cR and move on. Arena wasn't that fun either because once you got rated in 7 days of the month, there's no real reason to play anymore, except to keep your division rank. The only cool "ranks" are so far away that they don't even seem like a possibility right now, which gives me no urge to play the game. That's the reason I find myself playing such a small amount of Reach.

I don't see how people are comparing Reach with H3. For me, the only saving grace of H3 was that CoD4 came out not too much after H3.

i mean reach right now has some fauls but i would take it over halo3 any day. Im not saying im bad at halo3, i mean im good its just the fact that i have been playing halo 3 for 3 years and every part out it is just boring to me. i wanna play something thats new. halo reach is an amazing game even with all the dumb shit in it, so why say its a bad game just because it dosent have things in it that you want. im not gonna be one of those people that sit there and complain about the game and how and what should be in it. at the moment im gonna play reach even with all the dumb shit in it and not touch halo 3 for a while.then when the mlg playlist comes out play seriously. i mean every second of halo dosent have to be compeative. i have been reading alot of forums on mlgpro and even here some time lately and every time i read one its about how bad reach is and whats wrong with it.I know this isent a complaint thread and im not trying to make it sound like one. but anyway i have been reading so much that that i have been letting what i read take over my opinion on the game. Its not like were going through something new or anything. when halo 3 first came out people talked about how bad it was and how much better halo 2 was, but still played it for three years, so why is this anything different. At this moment im not gonna worry about what needs to be done with the game. Im sure mlg will make reach into a great game to play and watch, and in my opinion once we start watching pros play it at events and see what type of shit they do we will get a bigger and better opinion of the game. like they say or maybe im just making this up but 90% of the game is understanding it. If you dont understand it then your most likely gonna have a sucky opinion on the game. well thats my opinion and you really dont have to agree with it but i have been wanting to give out my opinion on the game for a while so there it is. im hoping you guys will agree and will help you understand anything you might have been wondering about.

OT: One of the things I really do enjoy about new features of Reach is the player investment system. I'm an absolute sucker for carrot on a stick kind of game progressions, i.e. Armory completion, overall rank etc. But overall gameplay, it's new and shiny for now but I'm not sure how long my interest will last.
