6 Team LAN Tournament Prediction Thread

Let's hear everybody's predictions !!

It's tournament time so I expect FB to turn it up.....If not then TD will more than likely win.

This team just isn't even fair to everyone else!!!

Prediction:
1. Triggers Down


Do I even need to say why? They are playing phenomenal right now, haven't dropped a series (yet) and just seem to be more focused on winning than everyone else. If they can continue to ride the momentum from the last few days they will be able to take 1st in this LAN and will be a top two contender in D.C.

2. / 3. Str8 Rippin / Final Boss


Str8 Rippin - Let's go two weeks back: No one was giving Str8 a chance at all in D.C. let alone in this LAN. Now? We see them playing great Halo again after playing so-so in the three team LAN last weekend, and they are currently in a fairly close 2nd place battle with Final Boss and Instinct in terms of win percentage but Str8 has only dropped one series so far. If they can stay positive, this team is looking to redeem themselves and possibly finish in the top four in D.C.
Final Boss seems to not be playing the greatest Halo right now (at least for them) but have still managed to win three out of their six series so far. This team always seems to turn it on when it comes down to it so look for Final Boss to catch fire and start winning

4. Instinct


I hate to put Instinct down this far but with Triggers Down not dropping a series, Str8 Rippin playing the best I've seen in a VERY long time, and knowing Final Boss's tendency to really turn it up on Sunday I have to put them here. Instinct should be able to use this LAN to fix anything before D.C. but will have a hard time getting back on top with Triggers Down and others playing such great Halo.

5. Dynasty


This is a roster full of great players but from what I have watched so far, they just cannot seem to finish as the game progresses. None the less they all know how to get it done: Clutch has won a National Championship and still doesn't get the respect he deserves; Heinz finished 1st three times and was voted the best overall player last year by the other Pros; A Pure Gangster may be young but he is a great player all around; and while some may question Destin's commitment he is still one of the best players there are. After possibly coming out of this LAN disappointed, this team has the talent be able to achieve a top 6 finish in D.C. but they'll face strong competition and must be able to finish out their games.

6. Carbon


No offense to any of the players, but Carbon just doesn't seem to truly be on the same level as these other top teams. If they can't figure out how to fix whatever is going wrong we may be looking at a National Championships without one of the League's greatest players (Walshy), another great leader no matter what people say (SK), and two players that placed 2nd at last years National Championships (Chig / Soldier187). I expect to see this team be the 1st one eliminated in the LAN tournament today unless something drastically changes.

Wowzers. I guess that got a bit long but I hope ya'll enjoyed reading my predictions with the reasoning behind them. :)

Alrighty so I looked at the Tournament Schedule, put a bit of thought into it and this is what I came out with:
1. Triggers Down
2. Final Boss
3. Str8 Rippin
4. Instinct
5. Dynasty
6. Carbon

I would say tD like everyone else but when they lose one game in the series, Hysteria just rips his team a new one.
I did notice that when Hysteria starts to get pissed though Neighbor can shut down his rant pretty quickly.
Still unnerving though when he starts to rail on his team.
If whoever they are playing can capitalize on that Hysteria rage then they can beat tD.

One of the reasons I have Triggers Down winning it is the fact that they are not a team that has to "catch fire" to win games. They have the stamina to play all day against top teams and stay focused. Final Boss and Str8 is definetly hard to call. From what I saw Str8 really has started coming together between the 3 Team LAN and this weekend. But I think Final Boss may catch them off guard after fighting back through the losers bracket.
