A40 BXRs are the best IMO they feel nice fit good look cool and have that amazing Astro sound plus they can be played on any system and PC as well as MP3 players.

I have an A40 audio system and it works pretty well.
I have had to send it in once though because it broke but other than that its awesome.
I really wanna try the A30s to see how they work...

A couple of my friends have Turtle Beaches and I just dont like the look/feel/anything about them. Astros are much better imo.

I have all black a40's which I bought at MLG Dallas 09' and when one of my cables broke they sent me a free one over, good service. Plus, I got the Astro, MLG, MLG Dallas, & SQ ear plates for them. Love the quality and use them on my computer to hear music or watch movies at night on 360.

Got my A40's in April 2010 so everything's the new updated version but I'm still looking into the splitter and optical cable.
If you're looking for a headset of great quality go with the Sennheiser PC350/PC360's, I've only heard positive things about them.

If I was you I'd go with some Sennheiser PC350's. If you haven't noticed a good amount of pros use them because they're closed ear and it's easier to block out sounds in LAN environment!

I've tried A40's and Sennheiser and definitely choose Sennheiser anyday!

I agree. That is part of the reason I traded my A30s with the A40s I bought my bro. ;)

I have some Senn PC350's that I love. I also have a pair of Sennheiser HD555's that I used for a few years. I like them a lot, and they are more comfortable than the A40s, imo.

I love the red plastic underneath the speakertags of the first edition A40s. But Yea, I have the 2010 edition system and I use it for other things besides gaming.

I ordered my Astro A40's when they re released the BXR editions back in July of this year. Got the Red ones, freaking love them. I also have a pair of Sennheiser HD555's which I have used for the last couple years and if you can get someone to do a Mic Mod to it and use it with the Mixamp, it is on amazing and cheap headphone. I also own a pair of Steelseries Serbia (The ones Power use at MLG events except all Black) because of a issue I have with my A40s at the moment and need to send out to be fixed. I absolutely love them with the Mixamp.

The A30 headphones are more for Casual gaming or out on the go to be honest and I probably wouldn't switch them for your A40s. Im looking at getting a pair but its going to be mainly used with my iPhone.

I used to have a pair of the SteelSeries Siberia's in SE Red and I was never that impressed with their comfort or practicality really, though the sound quality was okay. I've been so happy with my 2009 A40 system I don't think I would even consider anything else if it's not at least compatible with the MixAmp.

IMO, the A30s are not really a replacement for the A40s, they are more of a complementary product really; you'll either own one or the other for their different purposes, or you'll own both and use them in their defined roles. But that if of course IMO :P

I'm waiting for the Razer Chimaera to come out. I'm hoping that headset will be nice, it looks pretty sick.

I agree about the Siberias man. My room happens to be my hottest room in the house and I find I'm constantly removing them so that my ears can breath. Which is also why I'm in contact with Astro again to get them fixed.

And 100% agreed on the A30 vs A40.

The a30s look better for a non serious gamer that gives then the comfort of wearing them outside of the game. While a40s are for seriousness

Being an owner of both the A30s and A40s I can completely agree with both of these. Technically I only have A40s right now but A30s are definitely for someone who doesn't go on 4+ hour gaming sessions like I do. I was gaming this weekend for probably about 7-9 hours straight with the A40s on and I never got any discomfort wearing them for so long.

But anyways it really depends on the type of gaming you do. :)
