Im a huge Halo fan and recently got premium to watch the 6 - Team LAN (which was fckin awesome btw) but i was wondering with the upcoming release of CoD Black Ops and the info that it has LAN this time around had me thinking if TLN is strictly Halo only or would we see some CoD PRO teams come out to LAN?

Can't LAN on CoD, although I guess you're are asking about Black Ops and to be honest I don't know if Treyarch is including the ability to system link, although last I heard they still weren't. Several people in MLG, including Puckett, want to see Call of Duty on the mainstage so if CoD is made with system link capabilities I'm sure you will see both MLG adopt it, and the possibility, if it garners enough attention to rival or take over Halo ( imo Heaven forbid a takeover like that ever happens ) then I'm sure TLN would host and stream LANs.

I'm not a halo fanboy but the cod series is really not that good....personally the games keep getting worse after cod4....mw2 was just atrocious and I don't evem want to comment on waw....and then black ops idk yet but I'm not even planning on purchasing that game...my intention to post was not to flame nor bag on the cod series but in all reality, the halo series has been the only good games for COMPETiTiVE gaming so I hope they don't LAN call of duty....hope you understood my perspective here thanks TACO

well if u have been following the PROs and treyarch comm manager on twitter and on their forums it was posted that they would have LAN/system link in Black Ops and it would have everything unlocked

i agree the games have gotten worse
mw2 was an absolute failure BUT treyarch seems to be rightin the ship and bringin it back to where it was
they already got rid of the OP killstreaks , they already got rid of some perks and tweaked others
shotguns are not OP and are not secondary weapons anymore, killstreaks dont stack and they seem to be alot more willing to work with MLG than IW ever was

again im not a big fan of the series myself as i also think the game went downhill after 4 BUT if it does so happen that Black Ops turns out well and turns out to be the TRUE sequel to cod4 then all im askin is IF there is a possibility that TLN would host any LANs for it or is it strictly Halo oriented

lastly i disagree with your last point on Halo being the ONLY good game for competitive gaming

If it ever does happen you can bet it won't be soon. There are legal issues with charging for a livestream of someone elses licensed material. I know TLN has worked this out for Halo, but in the past they have not streamed other games due to this issue. Also, the owner of the house and site is the father of a Halo Pro.

I liked to play the other CoD games when I got mad at halo because CoD was so easy...
Hopefully this one is at least moderately competitive.
They will have LAN in it and I think you can start off with anything in the game in the LAN settings, not sure though.

I heard from good sources that it will for sure be able to LAN on this game. With that being said, I think we might look into the option of doing other games along with Reach !!

Please don't ever repeat this.

There is a lot of good things down the road for TLN, an addition of new games is definitely one that's been talked about.

I'm not a huge fan of CoD myself, but I think it would be cool to add other games to TLN. *cough* SC2 *cough* I think it would be cool cause it would give more variety and draw a bigger crowd to this site.

If the addition of CoD LANs would decrease the amount of Halo Reach LANs because of it... I'm not really for this. :/

Yeah if it affects the amount of Halo LANs then I'm not down for it. Although I'm sure there is a way to work around cutting down on halo LANs for an occasional LAN in a different game. I'm sure Mr. P would cut down on the LAN time for the pros, as after all he is a MLG Halo fan himself.

I think it really just depends on how big they actually want TLN to be.

I really hope that we see Black Ops on the mainstage or something similar in the future. Not because I love COD, but because many others do and it will only make MLG bigger

Agree, here is a link of Chris Puckett telling Pete Holmes how he feels about other games on the circuit.... " Halo is the ONLY game i care about "

I feel the same way Puckett, the exact same.
