MO Madness Customs Thread

Season 1 will consist of 186 Games over 7 game series held once a night for 28 nights after that we will take a night off to record stats and put together the ALL STAR teams that will have the top 2 players from each team they will play a 7 game series to see what team wins the Season! the top player from each team will become next seasons captian and will get to pick the new teams. the MVP of the season will get their TLN pass paid for for 1 month

Kills + Assists - Deaths + (5 * Flag Captures) + (0.4 * Time)

The gametypes used will be based on most recent MLG Gametypes. Exact series gametypes will be decided upon at a later date.

ok so me and some of the TLN community have been running Custioms the past few days and decided to make it a little more worth our Time ;) so we decided to hold open Drafts and then pick teams and record starts to give prizes out to the top players. if you wanna join our custom group post on this Thread we will keep scores of each player and the team they are drafted on we will have 2 teams and we can cycle players in and out if we get large enough

On topic: I'm up for this. Set teams makes the keeping stats part actually important. If it turns out I don't have enough time, I'll still volunteer myself to keep track of all the stats and do fantasy calculation on each game as I already have a system created for it. ;)


I'll start keeping score tomorrow. I'll send the players private messages or post in this thread about the results.

If you PM me the results I'll put them in the one that I have now. I have a feeling the formula may need to be tweaked for Reach eventually but it'll be fine for now :)

Hmmm. I'm not sure I'll look into it about how to draft. Right now I'm thinking this is for fun. So why not let people make teams? We can designate captains or something like that.

Also I kinda wanna make the scoring system either based on how many days you show up. I mean if you show up only for 2 or 3 days out of say a weeks worth of scoring. I wanna be able to round that to make sure they have a shot at prizes too. I understand people will not be able to make every single custom game. Plus we will probably run out of room each time.

As much as i would like that, I will probably have to not work that in as it would be unfair to those who do show up more days.

I'll send you my score sheet sometime Heuer after I figure out how i wanna round those scores for people and the average days they show up. If you have any idea on that let me know please.

yeah all of our games are Super close plus our slayers the biggest gap was the 50-42 everything else has been 4 or less gap i mean we really keep them close we have great players and i get super stoked to play every match cuz its really hard to see who is gonna come out on top we have some epic moments like my no scope on reflection on you and then Brixx's Trip kill just its only day 2 and its epic already.

And then if someone is not capable of making it then we will find another person on the team to replace them for that night.

LOL! you guys can call the teams what you like or nickname them but for easy reffence Red team plays red and Blue team plays blue when we play lol just easyer that way who knows if we keep growing past 16 players we may switch to having more teams each with 4 mains and 2 subs.

It's not a problem. I'll let you know as soon as we know a time. If for some reason people can't make it to their scheduled day then we just pull another member off their team to fill in. It's why we have so many people.

If you guys can clear it with everyone on the list to meet up and play at another time then I'm sure you guys can do that.

Also if you guys want full credit for your games and for some reason I can not be online during it then make sure one of you that played the game sends me the full stats of the match at the end of the night. This includes how many games each team won.

For the prize I'm keeping a very well recorded track of player stats. Therefore if you would like to me included for a shot at the prize. Make sure you have either one person send me a PM with everyones total stats, or each of you can PM me your own stats. As I cannot always be there I trust no one will make up stats. I'm running this on a faith in you guys to take this game in goodwill and not feed me false scores. The scores you must send me are as follows

For Slayer this includes: Total Kills for Each player, Total Assist for each player, Total Deaths for each player, Total K/D spread of each player

For Flag this includes: Total Flags captures for Each player, Total Flag Carry time for each player, Total Kills for Each player, Total Assist for each player, Total Deaths for each player, Total K/D spread of each player

Once I receive the score I will send out a reply to the players that were included that I do have their scores and am working them into the system. I hold no responsibility for those scores that are not sent to me.

I am going to be my own agent and sell myself by saying I will not disappoint if you pick me with your first pick ;) I am very good with power weapons in terms of setting up and able to obtain them for very long periods (tonight i had 11 rocket kills in a game on Ctf sanc), I have some very good and accurate communication and I do not wait until the end of a fight to call out it is right as it is beginning and I have a very good leadership kind of voice and I always try to keep a positive vibe throughout the games.

I can attest to this statement. He did a good job ensuring the team was setup for weapon spawns. Although even with his massive rocket kills we still lost that flag game haha.

Well.. that was fun. Just got done playing customs against a team that was treating it like MLG Dallas or something. I'm not expecting to have to go against such a huge team effort in customs.

Guess I was in for a reality check. That was stupidly ridiculous. Well whatever, at least we still won... somehow. Honestly don't know how with only 2 people on our team calling out (shelly and sabrea) and then me whining about how hard they were trying the whole series. LOL.

Not to mention some obnoxious statements that were being made every time a certain person killed me. There's a fine line between fun trash talk and being a jerk.

If you want to call me out or PM me about my word choice thats fine by me :) I'll openly admit I did trash talk you, but its the way I talk about anyone who's my competition...heck I did the same to Shelly and shes a lady. Don't get your feelers in a bunch because of my proximity chat man.

Also our communication was loud and a bit try hard-ish sounding because its been few and far between nights where we can play together (Smallz, Mongrel, and myself). So using this as a learning curve if you will for each others play styles, call outs, abilities, etc was necessary. Can't do that if you don't communicate!

I'm gonna go ahead and give Shelly the MVP of the night award though for definitely being the corner stone to your objective wins. She rushes flag with 4 up :o Good job tonight teams, I had a lot of fun and hope no one took TOO much offense to my trash talk.

It was a lot of fun.

There's one gametype I'll admit to stat-whoring on, that's Asylum CTF. Asylum TS, Countdown, Zealot, and Reflection, I play the game the way it's supposed to be played, just like in Halo 3. I was the same way in Halo 3. My team won games and I played well. Just because there is a player that goes super positive every game doesn't mean they're a stat-whore. I time power weapons, that's why it seems as if I always have one of them.
If someone calls out a one-shot, if someone says they need help, if someone says stop flag they're running it snipes, I'm there to do it. I don't run the flag a lot, no. However, I'm the one stopping the flag from capping most of the time because I'm always the one still alive to stop it. If someone tells me, "hey there's 3 down" and I'm in the area of the flag, I pull it.

I play the way I play. It has worked for me and whatever my team is for the past 3-4 years, and until it fails, I will continue to play the way I play.

I'll admit to purposely rushing shotgun every time it spawns on Zealot and chasing down Rasha though. ;) <3 A lot of things like that I do for fun to mess with Rasha. Lol.

Edit: It's kind of hard to 'stat-whore' on Halo Reach maps. It's not Narrows, Guardian, or The Pit anymore where someone can sit up high (like Narrows Attic, Pit Tower, Guardian Tower) and just pick off people as they run in open view. The maps are faster in this game, and they're much more frantic. I run around just like everyone else does (except Asylum CTF). I couldn't just sit somewhere and stat-whore even if I tried. And I don't 'sit with shotgun'. I run around with shotgun and unload it into Rasha's face. :) And Reflection TS... don't even get me started on that map. I am the WORST at that map, which is funny... That's a stat-whore's dream of a map.

Just because there was a little trash talk doesn't mean you need to get all upset about it Impended. It was obvious that our team works better with Taco in place of Havkin. And that's not saying Havkin is bad, it's saying that he doesn't work as well with us as we would hope.
So not necessarily making an excuse for losing, but the reason our call outs sounded "try-hardish" is because things weren't working too well, and call outs begin to sound really stressed when things aren't clicking.

GGs to all of you, and if I teabagged anyone (I was getting out-skilled a lot tonight, so probably not), it was all in the competition.

ITCHY is building a Solid team that has good comm and great shot but that all needs molding and i need to practice as much as i can to prepare myself for Ohio i dont think anyone should bag on anyones choice of playstyle in Custom we can do what we what how we want to. i enjoy the fact that its EASY to get 8 good players rounded up quickly at just about any time of night and roll 7 games series. i really enjoyed last night and i look forward to doing that stuff all the time imp if it upsets you that we all chose to call out and treat it like a practice im sorry to some its more than a game its a Risk they wanna take to achive something they find worth the effort. we all had laughs and we all enjoyed each others company im being truthful on this only cuz i know they Imp you have ran customs with BtR and we treat every game like its Main Stage cuz we wanna be there one day. no one is calling out anyone please keep this Thread and the Fourms and the people on it respectful
