The following text is taken from the message i just sent to Mr. P about a new game on TLN.
"Hello there Mr. P., I'm sure you've had a busy halo weekend but with all this Halo going on I have come up with an idea that I think would be pretty sweet implemented to this website.
So I am very active in sports fantasy and such, especially through ESPN's website. One game I have come to love is ESPN's Streak for the Ca$h. If you have not heard of Streak for the Ca$h, here is a link: http://streak.espn.go.com/en/
If you are not too familiar, this is a game of voting between 2 sides. The cool thing about streak is that its not just a vote between who will win a matchup. For example: Instead of just seeing vote for Team A win, or Team B win, you will see something more interesting, like in a football game, it may be "is the first touchdown going to be a pass?"
How can this be implemented into Halo?
-Well, instead of just picking between the winner of tD and FB, maybe the question will be: Who will go most positive in Game 1? Choice A being Fearitself or Neighbor, while choice B being Any other of the players. This is just an example of an endless possibilities of questions.
Others i was thinking about could involve:
Which player will record the most objective time?
Which player will get the most sniper headshots?
Will any player record a triple kill?
etc.
Now lastly, ESPN's Streak for the Ca$h's prize goes to two different people, the one with the longest streak of the month (which in TLN's case maybe the longest streak of the LAN) and also to the most wins in a month (again, in TLN's case, the most wins in voting throughout the whole LAN). I don't expect a $100,000 grand prize like ESPN does every month, but here may be some good things as prizes to do at each LAN:
Longest Streak: 1 free month at TLN and a signed TLN t-shirt signed by all of the pros that weekend
Most Wins: 1 free TLN stream pass
??Runner-ups??: 1v1 with a pro (ex. Neighbor) best of 3
*NOTE: longest streak should be longest ACTIVE streak
Again, everything I have stated here is just an idea and could be changed a lot, but in my opinion this would be very enjoyable to play, either during big LANs in your basement or even for MLGs tournaments.
This is just an idea I had and if you are at all interested let me know!
