I thought Strongside signed a contract with MLG while on FB. If true are they allowed to partake in other gaming tourneys. If not does this mean pro players can participate in any other gaming leagues?

pretty sure strongside's contract is up or he wasnt on one i just know T2 and Walshy were on contract done know who else was

I've spoken with Ogre 1 and StrongSide about it. They said they are allowed to play in other tournaments even if they are in a contract with MLG. But they can't get on the MLG main stage wearing a NGL t-shirt haha.

So then ogre 1 still makes money while not playing?. So if the contract was with FB then ogre 2
Has made money off two events plus the contract earnings

No Ogre 1 is NOT making any money while NOT playing.

Only if he wins prize money from the events. I don't believe they recieve much of any income from the DP or Old Spice sponsorships.

Well I've ran 15-20 events over the past 3 years. Had roy, lunchbox, ogre 1, Victory X, strongside, elamitewarrior, elamite's brother, dmaq, homacide, detach, Watch, NocternalKernal, Elumnite, Hambaby, Armageddon, and other semi-pros attend.

So I've asked may of them about the MLG stuff.

I can't say for sure, but I think T2 gets around $5,000 just for showing up to the event by Dr Pepper. I also heard Bravo gets around that from Hot Pockets.

Yeah, NGL is new. we're on our 2nd event - Cincinnati OHIO. 11/20/2010. But we know what we're doing.

i read on mlgpro somewhere, from awhile back though, that the final boss t2 contracts were like annual salary contracts. don't know if that was true and if it was if it is still in tact, for at least t2 and walshy and ogre 2. i believe i remember a $1 million contract to final boss, now i don't know if it was they all got that or if it was broken up between them. never saw anything for what t2 got. and no i don't remember the link, but i do remember reading it. it was one of the days on the 50 days countdown to raleigh

I promise none of them got 1M. The bulk of their income is from actually winning the events.

The contracts are mostly for show but they do get "some" money from them.

I have actually heard of pros attaining 1 million dollar contracts, however, they don't get that million in a year. It's like a million over the next 5 years, etc. Then there are taxes more than likely. I heard that the ones that received these contracts would make around 80-90k a year. I could be mistaken/misinformed though.

Anyway, sick gameplay by StrongSide, it's cool to see NistiC back. I remember him from back in the H:CE days.

Also, I would like to see the Ogre 1 gameplays you have, please? :3

I heard that N49 made like 45k a piece in '09. I don't know what sponsor paid them, but I remember people saying it was better than most top 8 pros get.

What was the prize money for the 4v4 and ffa? Do you guys have your own settings or do you use MLG settings? I think it's great that pros have other oppurtunitys outside of MLG to make to money at events. I know OG2 won a crap load of money that he never seen from shady companies. As long as the checks arrive people will keep showing up.
