Not completely sure. I'd assume it'd be 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, and 4v5. However, that could be wrong and they might make some special format.

well if it does work that way, i expect FB to win against CbN.
Instinct/Warriors could be a good match up considering the poor placing for Instinct and continued consistency of Warriors, i'd have to pick Instinct though.
TD/BtH i'll go for a TD win.
SQ/DyN, hmm well, going on D.C i'd pick DyN but SQ are amazing and apart from D.C they have been up there all year so this could turn out to be an epic match.

I am so torn by what went down this weekend. To be honest at the start of the weekend what I really wanted to see happen was Carbon Str8 Rippin and Warriors all play completely amazing and all qualify for Nationals. I especially wanted to see Str8 make it because the lineup was looking amazing, they were exciting as hell to watch, and Str8 was always my favorite team. ( Although I was rooting for TD to win the tournament, Totz is currently my favorite player ). However this entire weekend, though not disappointing in terms of some really epic game moments, was a continual disappointment. First Str8 Ripping got eliminated from nationals. Honestly it broke my heart to see T2 not at Nats, and I feel like Str8 really played well, they were awfully damn close to not make it. Also, congrats to Warriors, they played incredible, another 5th place, they really earned it and I'm excited to watch them. However them qualifying and knocking Str8 our soured that exciting news. Finally, considering I"m a huge Walshy fan, ( my alltime favorite by far ) so I'm really glad to see him going to Dallas, unfortunately I have a bad taste about it in my mouth. I don't feel Carbon deserves to be there. I mean the points are in and they qualified so I know they technically do, and Carbon fans will be upset with me, but really they did play much better at the tournament, especially Walshy and SK, but they still played poorly and honestly they are the only team out of the top 8 that I don't think has even an outside chance to do anything at Dallas ( although I would really enjoy watching myself proved wrong ). Basically when Darkest Hour was chasing that spot I, for the first time ever, began rooting against Walshy's success becasue I wanted to see, just like Warriors, a team really really earn they're way, not slip and slide and barely hold on. So at the end of the day on Sunday I was happy that Carbon and Warriors were going to Nationals, congrats to both, but I felt extremely sour about both outcomes. I hope Triggers Down or Carbon ( though not likely Carbon ) will win at Dallas to make up for how awful I felt for most of DC

From the commentary, it appeared that Neighbor turned back into his selfish stat-whore self and was trying to go lone-wolf like he used to... against the teamshot/communication of FB that just wasn't going to end well. I'm not trying to say Neighbor is so good that he can make or break TD, but at that level, and against FB in particular... communication and teamwork are imperative. I think he even said at the beginning of the broadcast that he's been talking and calling out more, and that's been a huge help to TD. When BestMan and Hysteria got your back, you might as well put them to use. That's what Totz has been doing, and it's been working very well for them.
He also somewhat lost his voice, and that may have been the problem... maybe he couldn't call out, or they couldn't hear his callouts, and he'd just end up going in alone assuming he had help.

When FB had the upper hand, and they were laughing, having fun, and just enjoying the game- that's when they seemed to play their best IMO. Hearing that next to him probably tweaked his nerves a bit. Perhaps he was trying to just make some epic superhero save-the-day play and swing the momentum (and the crowd) back TD's way and he just didn't pull it off.

I think that (in some combination) had a big impact on the outcome of DC.

walshy has never placed outside top 3 at nationals, so my prediction is this
1. Instinct (team is unbelievable and their teamwork is unmatched, its just up to individuals to step up and go big)
2. Final Boss (def. deserve to be up in top 3 they are ridiculous, and if they pull a repeat of D.C. they could very well win it, however I don't see ola and fear being nearly +300 again)
3. Carbon (oops, walshy)
4. TD (as impressive as they were at the lans, I was disappointed by them getting absolutely routed by FB, they looked terrible)
5. Dynasty (deserving of the 5th spot, not much higher unless they catch fire.)
6. SQ (has not shown that they can be recognized as a top 3 team)
7. BtH (this team is a mess, and i just don't really like them)
8. Warriors (welcome to the biggest stage you've ever played on, its the nationals and the rookies are going to be overwhelmed)

Yes. I can't remember if this was due to the fact that all 16 teams were competing or not.

Has anyone heard about any LAN's going on outside of TLN? I'm very interested to see what kind of work these guys put in prior to Championships. Although everyone gets a paycheck, there is quite a significant difference between $100k and $8k.

I expect SQ, BTH, and Instinct to improve vastly as it almost seemed that their hearts weren't into D.C.

I think Instinct will take it. Elamite and Cloud have proven themselves in the big tournament before. They like to show up for this one. Then Roy and Lunch are always consistant. Just you wait. It'll be a good finals though no matter who makes it.

Its what I'm expecting but not who I'm rooting for.
Final Boss just seems so solid and any of those players can go off during a match which just wrecks the other team.

I think Final Boss is going to take the cake this tournament. I personally can see Status Quo breaking out with 2nd place and tD and Instinct coming in 3rd and 4th.

It really all depends on who catches fire. We have seen teams come out of no where and win events out of pure momentum. Just look at last year's nationals. Believe the Hype won because they were totally on fire throughout the entire weekend.
