Just an another random idea for TLN but I think it'd be really cool for some pros to film their home gaming setup and maybe a few things around their house or town. Like what they like to do or where they like to eat. MLG's hasn't done a pro player feature type thing in along time and I just think it'd be cool to see some more stuff about pro's and their life outside halo. Maybe some of them could just film it themselves and send it to Peridious to edit and throw it up in the Media section when it's done.

I really think that'd be cool and just another thing that would seperate TLN from other gaming websites.

What do you guys think?

I used to Watch a show on G4TechTV called Player$ (I think) and they would interview celebrities and show walkthrough of their setup/house and favorite games they liked to play. I enjoyed it and this would be a cool idea. I want to see an in depth tour of totz basement for the first episode at least.

Yea probably Totz first since it'd be the easiest to film and edit since it's all in one place. But yea maybe like a little tour through the basement with Mr. P and/or Totz would be sick. Show some cool sports items and of course the LAN station. Or you know maybe even th first segment be titled "Tour The Lan Network" or something. It's just always really cool to get a look at something halo related but more outside the game. Just a thought.

Hell yeah, there is a lot of sick memorabilia in there like the frozen Han Solo and Darth Vader statues.

didn't bravo film the totz house in his first episode of the bravo show? i remember seeing a tour of his house, idk.

i think it's a good idea and TLN should try it out.

Yea I tihnk it'd be cool. Have the players show off where they game at when they're at home, some old pro passes, old jerseys, gaming checks? how many controllers they've gone through...I don't know lol i'm kind of scrapin for random ideas now lol

yeah, first episode of the Bravo Effect was a small tour of the basement.

would be interesting to see it in detail.

This would be a pretty cool idea! Partner it with a mini interview with the players themselves and it would be even better!

Yea good idea heuer. I'd like to hear questions to that aren't asked EVERY single time in the Timeou articles. lol I'd like to hear stuff like "What is your favorite city for MLG to have tournaments at?", "What do you enjoy the most about tournaments outside competing at them? Like what do you do at the Hotel for fun?" and then of course the other stuff I already talked about.

I hope Mr. P and/or Towey look into this... really seems like a great idea to set TLN apart.

If you guys have any other ideas for it be sure to throw them out there. I feel like wit all the opinions of everyone we could get a really cool concept going and maybe TLN would make it happen! :)

Well I'm trying to get a huge post / blog up about my thoughts on TLN so far and where I personally see it going along with things mentioned by the community and admins/mods. Hopefully will get it up before Raleigh but I have a ton of homework between now and then!

I also think the community has already displayed a huge interest in this idea because if you notice this thread has easily the most views in the Feedback and suggestions tab. and my TLN LAN highlights thread is second :) haha but besides all that I hope mr. P or some mods see this.

I guess that MTV Cribs of the Str8uary never happened. Was a bummer, I wanted to see that. But yeah a detailed go through of the basement at Totz' place would be sick. Not just a quick blow through, but just allow us to see everything in there. I feel like if I went there it'd take me a couple trips down there to really see everything.

This is a GREAT idea. I'm sure not every pro would like to videotape their room, but I know a lot of pros who have money from the tournament have sick setups and it would just a great way to get to know the player outside of the game as well.

Yea that's another good idea Shy. Maybe some of the pro's show some things they bought from their tournament winnings. But yea i'm sure not all pro's would be down for it but I bet there would be a fair amount that would be! And if you think about it I think it's a good idea for them too... it always seems like pro's and anybody in general gets more fans by connecting with your fanbase and I think this would be a great way for them to! ;)

Just from a pic that the BUKs sent over twitter to MLGpro, I'd like to see their complete setup in some sort of video because it looked pretty awesome. And anyone from the community that has a nice setup could do something like this as well and then say what they like about MLG, what they'd like to see the league do in the future, etc.

Yea maybe that's expanding the boundaries a little to far on what this could be but their could also be another section for community membersto post their setups and talk about MLG and stuff. Good idea but probably belongs in it's own seperate category than this.

Hmmmm good point. I know I'd still like to see some people's sweet setups if they have them but it does kinda go away from the original scope of the idea.

I got a setup video. Its from May though. The latest thing I have that is not in the video is an HD PVR and a Mad Catz Tournament Edition fightstick.

That's a sick setup man. I'm going to make my video as soon as I can find a friend that has a digital camera I can borrow. I plan on uploading my video to youtube and i'd love to put it in the thread just like you did but I don't really know how. I'm a forum noob. haha Can you tell me how to get the video in the thread like you did vontoxic?

I wish my camera still worked I would upload more videos.

Thunder, after you upload your video to youtube copy the whole URL of the video and click the little film strip in quick reply/advanced reply on on the forums. Then you paste the URL in the little pop up box and hit "ok". :c)

Oh, sweet. I totally wanna do mine now.

Do iiiiiiittttttt! lol.

It would be cool to get an intro created for it if it turns into a normal thing. I have Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 but have never done any editing... :P

You're the man Mr. P! I just figured it'd be a good idea. Maybe ask some of the pro's if they'd be down for the idea... I think it'd be a great way for them to connect to their fans and gain some new ones! Take care of your fans and they'll take care of you kinna thing! ;)
